Game server hosting means renting a machine that runs a game's server software 24/7 for you, so friends and community members can join whenever they want without your own PC staying on. TheCrewHost offers game server hosting for more than 250 games, including Minecraft, CS2, Rust, FiveM, ARK, Palworld, Valheim, Project Zomboid, Garry's Mod and Terraria, from its datacenter in İstanbul, Türkiye. Servers run on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X CPUs with DDR5 6000 MHz RAM and NVMe SSDs, and plans range from Bronze 4 GB to Xtreme 32 GB. Setup is automatic after payment, and free DDoS protection, automatic backups, unlimited traffic and a web-based control panel come with every plan.
Start with RAM, but don't stop there. How much memory a server needs depends less on the player count than on how many mods and plugins you run, how big the map is and how the game engine itself behaves; a vanilla Minecraft server and a 200-mod modpack can differ several times over.
Next is single-core CPU speed. Many game servers run their main loop on one thread, so a few fast cores beat many slow ones, which is why TheCrewHost game servers use the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X. Then comes storage: NVMe SSDs help world saves and newly loaded areas finish with fewer hitches.
Finally, think about location and protection. If your players are in Türkiye, a server in İstanbul keeps ping low, and free DDoS protection helps keep a public server online when someone tries to knock it offline. You could host a game server on your own PC, but 24/7 uptime, backups and attack protection come built in when you rent one.
Game server plans come in seven RAM tiers: Bronze 4 GB, Silver 6 GB, Gold 8 GB, Platinum 10 GB, Diamond 12 GB, Emerald 16 GB and Xtreme 32 GB. Besides RAM, the tiers also differ in vCores and NVMe storage. Not every game offers all seven tiers, and heavier games start from a higher one. Each game's own page lists the plans available for it along with current pricing.
As a rough guide, a small group of friends on a vanilla or lightly modded server is comfortable on the lower tiers. Busy community servers, large maps and heavy modpacks call for the middle and upper tiers. Survival games with big worlds, such as ARK or Palworld, use more RAM than most titles even at the same player count.
If you are unsure which server to buy, start with the plan closest to your needs. When your player base or mod list grows, you can upgrade to a higher tier at any time.
Minecraft runs on both Java and Bedrock; on Java you can pick plugin-friendly builds like Paper or Spigot, or run modded servers on Forge and Fabric. CS2 servers care more about CPU speed than RAM and use community plugins for custom modes and Workshop maps for new ways to play. Rust servers commonly run Oxide/uMod plugins, and the forced wipe on the first Thursday of every month is a big part of running one.
FiveM is the home of GTA V roleplay, built on frameworks like ESX or QBCore and a long list of resources. ARK and Palworld are memory-hungry because of their large worlds. Valheim is designed for small groups of up to 10 players by default and is relatively light. Project Zomboid adds Steam Workshop mods through its server config file, Garry's Mod loads gamemodes like DarkRP or TTT from Workshop collections, and Terraria is a lightweight server you can manage with tShock. With more than 250 games on the list, the search box helps you find yours fast.
In most games, installing mods and plugins means putting files in the right server folder. Upload small files through the file manager in the panel and push large modpacks or map archives over SFTP/FTP. On Minecraft, plugins go into the plugins folder on Paper-based servers and mods into the mods folder on Forge or Fabric servers; on Rust, Oxide plugins go into oxide/plugins.
For games that use the Steam Workshop, such as Garry's Mod, Project Zomboid and CS2, you usually add Workshop item IDs or a collection ID to the server settings, and the server downloads the files itself on startup. On FiveM, each resource is copied into the resources folder and started with an ensure line in server.cfg.
Take a backup from the panel before adding mods; if a version mismatch keeps the server from starting, you can roll back easily. And if players need the same mods on their side, share the mod list and versions with them.
You manage your server from the web-based game panel at gamepanel.hostingmerkezi.net. The live console shows the server log and lets you send commands, so on Minecraft you can op a player, edit the whitelist or save the world without joining the game. Start, stop and restart buttons control the server state, and the file manager opens server.properties, server.cfg or any other config file right in your browser.
Backups live in the panel too. Automatic backups run in the background, and taking a manual one before a big update, a wipe or a mod change is a good habit. Since you can also connect over SFTP/FTP, you can download world saves and keep copies on your own computer.
When something breaks, the console output usually points to the cause: a missing dependency, an incompatible mod version or a typo in a config line. If you get stuck, open a ticket and paste the relevant log line so the support team can see what is going on; step-by-step walkthroughs of common tasks are in the Guides section.
If your players are in Türkiye, a server in İstanbul shortens the route their traffic takes and keeps ping low and stable. You feel it most in competitive play: hit registration in CS2, close-range fights in Rust and car chases on FiveM all depend directly on latency. Players connecting from Europe, the Middle East and the Caucasus generally get a good connection too, although the exact ping depends on each player's internet provider.
DDoS protection is free on every game server. Public servers can become targets, especially on wipe day, before a tournament or between rival roleplay communities. The protection filters malicious traffic so the server stays reachable, which means you can list it on server lists or share it on Discord with more peace of mind.
Add unlimited traffic and a 99.9% uptime target, and your game server hosting lets you spend your time growing the community instead of wrestling with infrastructure.
