Everything a modern NeoForge pack expects from the hardware and the admin side, in one place.
Machines from Create, Mekanism and Applied Energistics 2 run every tick. The Ryzen 9 9950X's high clock speed helps that workload fit inside the 20-ticks-per-second budget.
The server boots through the run.sh and unix_args.txt layout the NeoForge installer creates. Libraries stay in the libraries folder; you only deal with mods, config and the world.
Samsung 990 EVO Plus NVMe storage writes chunk data quickly on packs that add dozens of dimensions, and 60 to 200 GB of disk leaves room for big exploration maps.
Type /neoforge tps in the panel console to see tick time per dimension; pair it with a spark report and you'll find which mod is causing lag in no time.
NeoForge packs update often. On top of the automatic backups, snapshot the server from the panel before each new version and roll the world back if something breaks.
Public 1.21.1 servers see more traffic and more attacks. Free DDoS protection and unmetered bandwidth are included on every NeoForge plan without add-on fees.
NeoForge server hosting sets you up for the new generation of 1.21.1 modpacks, starting at ₺345.00 (around $8.63) a month with 6 tiers between 6 GB and 32 GB of RAM. NeoForge is the mod loader most of the Forge developers founded when they split off in July 2023. It has followed its own path since 1.20.2, and today most big modpacks on 1.21.1 are published for NeoForge. Your server runs in our Istanbul datacenter on an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X with DDR5 6000 MHz memory and NVMe SSD storage. You manage mods, configs and world files from the file manager or over SFTP, and /neoforge tps tells you instantly which dimension is struggling.
NeoForge is the July 2023 fork of Minecraft Forge, and nearly the entire Forge team moved over to it. The first NeoForge builds for 1.20.1 stayed largely compatible with Forge, but starting with 1.20.2 the two projects have developed different APIs. From 1.20.2 onward, a mod's NeoForge build won't load on Forge and its Forge build won't load on NeoForge.
NeoForge version numbers carry the Minecraft version inside them: the 21.1.x series targets Minecraft 1.21.1, and 20.4.x targets 1.20.4. Whatever NeoForge version your modpack lists is the one your server should run.
Right now 1.21.1 is NeoForge's busiest version. Big packs like All The Mods 10 and current releases of cornerstone mods such as Create, Mekanism and Applied Energistics 2 ship for NeoForge. If your pack says NeoForge, you're in the right place. Running a Forge pack from 1.20.1 or earlier? Choose Forge Enhanced instead. Want Bukkit plugins alongside NeoForge mods? Look at NeoForge-based hybrids like Arclight or Magma.
6 GB is the starting point for NeoForge, since modern 1.21.1 mods use more memory than their older counterparts. A 50–100 mod pack with 2–5 players is fine on 6–8 GB. Mid-to-large packs with 150–250 mods sit comfortably at 10–12 GB. For giant packs like All The Mods 10 that bundle hundreds of mods, anything under 12–16 GB turns boot time and exploration into a bottleneck.
RAM alone doesn't buy smoothness. A Minecraft server simulates the world on a single main thread, which is where the high-clocked Ryzen 9 9950X earns its keep. The extra vCores on Emerald and Xtreme keep garbage collection, networking and chunk generation off that main thread.
Memory needs don't grow linearly with player count. The real load comes from players loading chunks in different dimensions and far-apart regions at the same time. Three players split across the Nether, the End and two modded dimensions can cost more than ten players hanging out in one village.
Mods go into the server's mods folder as .jar files. For a published modpack, download its separate Server Files if the pack page offers them; those archives come with client-only mods already removed. Unpack the archive on your computer and move the mods, config, defaultconfigs and, if present, kubejs folders to the server over SFTP.
Watch the loader tag when you download: on 1.21.1, pick the file labeled NeoForge, because a 1.20.1 mod labeled Forge will not load on NeoForge 1.21.1. Bridge mods like Sinytra Connector can run some Fabric mods on NeoForge, but that route doesn't work for every mod and makes debugging harder when something breaks.
Purely visual mods such as Sodium, Iris or Embeddium stay off the server; if the server tries to load them, it stops with an invalid dist DEDICATED_SERVER error. Players need an exact copy of the server's pack on the same NeoForge version, and if something is missing, the connection screen lists the mismatched mods.
The server's basic behavior is set in server.properties: player cap (max-players), difficulty, whitelist and view distance all live there. Settings for NeoForge itself and for each mod sit in .toml files in the config folder, while world-specific server settings are stored in the serverconfig directory inside the world folder.
To add an admin, type op and the player's name in the console; for a private friends server, whitelist on is all you need. For ranks and permissions, use the NeoForge build of LuckPerms; for land claims, FTB Chunks or Open Parties and Claims do the job.
Set an update routine early. When a new pack version drops, back up first, then update the config folder along with the pack rather than only the changed mods, since old config files can clash with new mod versions. Removing a mod that adds dimensions or structures from an existing world can corrupt it, so never make that call without a backup.
Start by measuring. /neoforge tps shows the mean tick time for each dimension, and the spark mod's /spark profiler report breaks down exactly which mods and block entities are using the time. Read the report before you start deleting mods on a hunch.
The biggest wins are usually simple: drop simulation-distance to 6–8 and view-distance to 8–10, pre-generate spawn and your busiest dimensions with Chunky, and keep item drops from automated farms under control. Optimization mods like ModernFix and FerriteCore are available on NeoForge too, and they noticeably reduce memory use on large packs.
A first boot that seems stuck on loading is normal, because hundreds of mods register content and recipes. Keeping an eye on the last lines in the console is the fastest way to spot the mod that hangs. If the watchdog kills the server during startup, you can temporarily raise max-tick-time in server.properties.
NeoForge plans start at 6 GB. Check the recommended server RAM on your modpack's page and your expected player count, then choose a tier from the plan guide below.
Once your payment is confirmed, your NeoForge server is set up automatically and becomes manageable in the control panel at gamepanel.hostingmerkezi.net.
Note the exact NeoForge version your pack uses, for example which 21.1.x build, because the server must run the same one. If you need a different version, our support team can help.
Upload the mods, config, defaultconfigs and kubejs folders from the Server Files archive with your SFTP client; on big packs it saves a lot of time versus single uploads.
Start the server and watch the console for missing dependencies or client-only mod errors. Once the Done line appears, take a first reading with /neoforge tps.
Share the IP:port from the panel. Players install the same pack through the CurseForge app, Modrinth App or Prism Launcher and connect from the Multiplayer menu.
