Why TheCrewHost for Web Hosting?

The tools you need to keep a website online, secure and fast come ready on every plan.

Full cPanel Control

File Manager, MySQL databases, phpMyAdmin, email accounts, subdomains and cron jobs all live in one cPanel account, so you can run your site without touching a command line.

One-Click WordPress

Install WordPress and other popular apps with an installer that creates the database and config for you, with no manual wp-config.php editing.

Free SSL and DDoS Protection

Every site gets a free SSL certificate for HTTPS, which removes the browser's 'Not secure' warning, and free DDoS protection helps filter attack traffic before it reaches you.

Daily Automatic Backups

Your account is backed up automatically every day, so a broken plugin update or an accidentally deleted folder doesn't have to cost you the whole site.

NVMe SSD in İstanbul

Sites run on NVMe SSD storage in İstanbul. A server close to visitors in Turkey and fast disks make a real difference on database-heavy WordPress pages.

Unlimited Email Accounts

Create as many addresses on your own domain as you need, from info@ and sales@ to one per teammate, and use them in webmail or any IMAP mail app.

TheCrewHost web hosting is cPanel-based shared hosting on NVMe SSD servers in İstanbul, Türkiye, with plans starting at ₺90.00 ($2.25) a month. All 4 plans include a free SSL certificate, daily automatic backups, unlimited email accounts, PHP and MySQL, one-click WordPress and app installs, and free DDoS protection; what changes between them is how many websites you can host, your disk space and your monthly traffic. If most of your visitors are in Turkey, a nearby server shortens the time to first byte, and your data stays in the country. You can register your domain in the same place, too. It's a strong fit for business sites, blogs, portfolios, community forums and small WooCommerce stores that don't need root access.

What is web hosting, and what comes with every plan?

Web hosting keeps your site's files, database and mailboxes on a server that's online around the clock, so when someone types your address, that server sends them the page. At TheCrewHost those servers sit in our İstanbul data center on NVMe SSD storage, and every account is managed through cPanel.

Every plan ships with the same foundation: a free SSL certificate, daily automatic backups, unlimited email accounts, PHP and MySQL, one-click WordPress and app installs, and free DDoS protection. Choosing the entry plan doesn't mean giving up security or backups; moving up only buys you more capacity.

Who is it for? A café or clinic that needs a clean brochure site, a personal blog, a photographer's portfolio, a nonprofit's news page, a WooCommerce store with a manageable catalog, or a gaming community's forum. What they have in common is that they run on PHP and MySQL and belong to someone who would rather not run a server. The operating system, web server software and server-side security patches are our job; your job is content and visitors. If you're looking for web hosting in Turkey because your audience is here, hosting in İstanbul keeps the server close to them and keeps your data inside the country, which matters to businesses that prefer not to store customer data abroad.

How do the four web hosting plans differ?

The plans differ in three things: how many websites you can host, disk space and monthly traffic. SSL, backups, email and cPanel are identical across the board.

Starter Basic covers one website with 20 GB of SSD storage and 100 GB of monthly traffic. That's enough for a brochure site or a brand-new blog, and with prices starting at ₺90.00 it's where most people looking for cheap hosting begin. Starter Plus doubles the site count to two, gives you 50 GB of storage and removes the traffic cap, which makes sense if you run a company site plus a separate blog or campaign domain. Advanced Pro hosts up to five sites with unlimited storage, a good fit for freelancers managing a handful of client sites or anyone with a large image library. Unlimited Pro lifts the site limit too, so agencies and founders with many domains can keep them all in one cPanel account.

Plan for the next year, not just today. If you expect to launch another domain, site count decides it; if your photo or video archive will keep growing, storage does. As for traffic, 100 GB is roughly 50,000 page views a month at 2 MB per page, which is comfortable for a typical business site. If you send newsletters or expect spikes from social media, an unmetered plan takes that worry off the table.

What can you manage yourself in cPanel hosting?

cPanel is the control panel for your hosting account, and it lets you manage every part of your site from a browser without SSH. The sections you'll use most are File Manager for uploading and editing files, MySQL Databases for creating databases and users, phpMyAdmin for browsing tables and exporting SQL dumps, email accounts and forwarders, subdomains, and cron jobs for scheduled tasks.

On the PHP side, anything built for PHP and MySQL runs naturally here: WordPress, Joomla, OpenCart, PrestaShop, or a PHP application you wrote yourself. If your software needs a specific PHP version or extension (intl, gd or zip, for example), check its requirements before you install, and ask our 24/7 support team if anything is unclear.

A practical rule for databases: give every site its own database and its own database user, and grant that user rights on that database only. That way a vulnerability in one site can't reach the others. If importing a large SQL file times out in the browser, split it into smaller parts or ask support for help; either is faster than retrying the same upload. That balance is the real appeal of cPanel hosting: you get proper tools for your site without owning the server, and the machine underneath is maintained for you.

WordPress hosting: what should you set up first?

Everything WordPress needs is already on the plan: PHP, MySQL, free SSL and a one-click installer. The installer creates the database, places the files and drops you straight into the dashboard, so there's no manual wp-config.php editing.

The first hour after installation shapes your site's long-term health. Don't keep 'admin' as the administrator username, use a strong password, and add a two-factor authentication plugin if you can. Get themes and plugins only from the official directory or developers you trust; 'nulled' copies of premium themes are one of the most common ways WordPress sites get compromised. Plugins you don't use shouldn't just be deactivated: delete them.

For speed, three things usually carry most of the weight: a caching plugin, images resized and compressed before upload, and a small number of well-built plugins. On shared hosting every uncached page request runs PHP and database queries; caching turns that into ready-made HTML, which is faster for visitors and easier on your account's resources. WooCommerce is a special case, because cart and checkout pages can't be cached, so resource needs grow with your catalog and the number of people shopping at the same time. The VPS section below covers when that starts to matter. Daily backups run automatically, but take your own backup before major updates anyway.

How do SSL, email and daily backups work?

Your free SSL certificate can be issued once your domain points to your hosting account. The certificate authority checks that the domain really resolves to this server, so HTTPS can't go live before your DNS change has taken effect. Once the certificate is in place, make sure every link on your site uses https; in WordPress that usually means updating the two addresses under Settings > General.

Every plan includes unlimited email accounts. To keep your messages out of spam folders, your domain needs correct SPF, DKIM and DMARC records. If your nameservers point to your hosting account, those records live in cPanel's DNS zone; if you manage DNS somewhere else, you'll need to add the same records there by hand. You can use your mailboxes in webmail or in any mail app on your phone or computer over IMAP.

Daily automatic backups mean your files and databases are copied every day. If an update breaks something or a folder disappears, our support team can help you get back to an earlier day. The golden rule still applies, though: never let the only copy of your backup live on the same server as your site. Before big changes, export your database from phpMyAdmin and download your files to your own computer.

Domains, DNS and migration: how does your site go live?

For your site to go live, your domain has to point to the server that holds your hosting account, and there are two ways to do that. The first is a nameserver change: you replace your domain's nameservers with the ones provided for your hosting account, and every DNS record, including web, email and SSL validation, is then managed in cPanel. The second is pointing individual records: you leave DNS with your current provider, point the A record to the server's IP address and set the MX records your email needs. If you're new to this, the first option leaves less room for mistakes.

Changes don't reach everyone at once; old records have to expire from caches, which usually takes a few hours and occasionally 24–48 hours. If you don't have a domain yet, register one on our /domain page and keep it in the same account as your hosting.

If you're moving an existing site from another host, order matters. Copy the files and database to the new account first, update the database name, user and password in wp-config.php if it's WordPress, test the site, and switch DNS last. Don't cancel the old hosting until propagation is complete, and create your email accounts on the new side beforehand so no incoming mail gets lost. You can also use our free migration support and plan the move together with the team.

Web hosting or VPS: when should you move up?

If your site runs on PHP and MySQL and your traffic is moderate, web hosting is the right tool; once you need root access, custom software or a process that runs in the background around the clock, it's time for a VPS.

On web hosting the server is shared between accounts and we run it. You don't deal with the operating system, web server, PHP or security updates, and in exchange you can't change the server software. Even when a plan lists storage or traffic as unlimited, CPU and memory still come from a shared machine. A VDS/VPS gives you dedicated, non-shared resources through KVM virtualization plus full root access: you install Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux or Windows Server and run whatever you like, but security and maintenance become your responsibility.

Signs it's time to upgrade: pages slow down noticeably during campaigns, a WooCommerce store handles many checkouts at the same time, you need to run a Node.js or Python server application, you want Redis, Elasticsearch or Docker, or you need a process that runs 24/7, such as a game server or a bot. For Discord bots specifically, we also offer dedicated Discord bot hosting plans. If you're not sure which way to go, our support team can look at your current usage with you.

How to Set Up Web Hosting and Launch Your Site

  1. 1

Pick the plan that fits your site

Weigh how many sites you'll publish, how much storage you need and the traffic you expect. If you're unsure, Starter Plus is a comfortable starting point for most business sites.

  2. 2

Register a domain or connect your own

Need a new domain? Register it on our /domain page. Already own one? Specify which domain you'll use when you order; you'll handle the DNS once the account is created.

  3. 3

Complete your order and log in to cPanel

Once payment is confirmed, your hosting account is created. Track your service and invoices in the customer area (my.thecrewhost.com) and log in to cPanel with the details you receive.

  4. 4

Update your nameservers or DNS records

Switch your domain's nameservers to the ones provided for your hosting account, or point the A record to the server IP. Propagation can take a few hours.

  5. 5

Install WordPress or upload your files

Install WordPress or another app in one click. If you already have a site, upload the files with File Manager and import the database through phpMyAdmin.

  6. 6

    Check SSL, email and backups

Confirm HTTPS is working, create mailboxes on your domain, check your SPF and DKIM records, and take your own backup before your first big change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about choosing a plan, cPanel, WordPress, SSL, email and moving an existing site.

How much does web hosting cost?
Our web hosting plans start at ₺90.00 ($2.25) a month with Starter Basic, and prices rise across the 4 plans as site count, storage and traffic grow. You can see current monthly prices in the plan table on this page. Free SSL, daily backups, unlimited email and DDoS protection are included even on the entry plan, so there's no separate security add-on to buy.
Which plan should I choose, and can I change it later?
Choose Starter Basic for a single site, Starter Plus if you have two domains or growing traffic, Advanced Pro for up to five sites, and Unlimited Pro when you manage many domains. When you outgrow your plan, request an upgrade from the customer area or through support. In cPanel a package change is applied to your existing account, so you don't have to rebuild your site.
How long does it take to set up my hosting account?
Your hosting account is created once your payment is confirmed, and you receive your cPanel login details. For your site to load on its own domain, DNS has to point to the new server; nameserver changes usually propagate within a few hours and occasionally take up to 48. You can install WordPress, build your pages and create email accounts while you wait.
Can I register my domain with TheCrewHost too?
Yes. You can register a domain on our /domain page and manage it in the same customer account as your hosting. If your domain is registered elsewhere, you don't have to move it; pointing its nameservers or A record to your hosting account is enough. Keeping domain and hosting together simply makes renewal dates easier to track.
Do your cPanel hosting plans support PHP and MySQL?
Yes. Every plan comes with cPanel and runs PHP/MySQL software. File Manager, MySQL databases, phpMyAdmin, email accounts, subdomains and cron jobs are all available in the panel. If your application needs a specific PHP version or extension, ask our support team before you install to avoid surprises later.
How does the WordPress installation work?
Use the app installer in cPanel to set up WordPress in one click: enter your site name, admin username and password, and the database and files are prepared for you. Right after installing, set your permalink structure, add a caching plugin and delete the sample plugins and themes you won't use. The same installer handles other popular apps as well.
Is the SSL certificate free, and when does it become active?
Yes, SSL is free on every site with no extra charge. The certificate can only be issued once your domain points to your hosting account, so HTTPS becomes available after DNS propagation completes. After that, check that your site's URLs start with https; in WordPress, update both addresses under Settings > General.
How are backups taken, and can I restore one?
Your account is backed up automatically every day. If an update goes wrong, a file is deleted or a database gets damaged, our support team can help you roll back to an earlier day. We also recommend exporting your database from phpMyAdmin and downloading your files before big changes, because a second copy of your backup is always a good idea.
How many email accounts can I create?
Email accounts are unlimited on every plan. Create info@, support@ or a separate address for each person on your team, and use them in webmail or any IMAP mail app on your phone or computer. To keep your messages out of spam folders, make sure your domain has correct SPF, DKIM and DMARC records.
Can I move my existing site to TheCrewHost?
Yes, you can move your existing site and email with our free migration support. The order is simple: files and database are copied to the new account, the site is tested, and DNS is switched last. Keep your old hosting active until DNS propagation finishes and create your mailboxes on the new side first, so both the site and incoming mail keep working without a gap.
Where are the servers, and is there DDoS protection?
All our web hosting servers are in our İstanbul data center. If most of your visitors are in Turkey, a nearby server helps your pages respond faster, and your data stays in the country. Free DDoS protection is standard on every plan and helps filter attack traffic aimed at your site.
What is your refund policy?
Refund and cancellation conditions are set out in our Terms of Service, which you accept when you place an order. We recommend reading them before you buy; if anything is unclear, ask our support team through live chat, WhatsApp, phone or a support ticket at any hour.
