Why TheCrewHost for HumanitZ?

The settings you will touch every week on a HumanitZ server, plus the hardware that keeps hordes smooth.

Zombie and Bandit Difficulty

ZombieAmountMulti sets how many zombies spawn, ZombieDiffHealth, ZombieDiffSpeed and ZombieDamage set how tough they are, and HumanHealth or HumanDamage tune bandits separately.

Admins, Bans and Reserved Slots

IDs in AdminList.txt get permanent admin, F_BannedPlayers.txt holds bans, and ReserveSlots with F_ReservedSlots.txt keeps room for your regulars when the server is full.

Loot and Respawn Timers

LootRespawn, LootRespawnTimer and ZombieRespawnTimer control how quickly the map refills, so you can run a scarce hardcore world or a generous co-op sandbox.

Autosaves and Backups

SaveIntervalSec writes the world every 300 seconds by default; NVMe drives make those saves unnoticeable and panel backups protect the save data on top.

Remote Access with RCON

Turn on RCON with RCONEnabled, RConPort and RCONPass to manage the server without joining, and follow live logs in the panel console.

Ryzen 9 9950X for Big Hordes

Zombie AI and vehicle physics run on the server CPU, and strong single-thread performance keeps lag down when a horde pours into town.

HumanitZ server hosting at TheCrewHost starts at $11.00 per month (₺440.00) with Gold 8GB, giving you a dedicated server on a Ryzen 9 9950X with DDR5 memory and NVMe storage that stays online whether or not you are playing. Because it runs in İstanbul, players connecting from Türkiye and the surrounding region are not fighting lag in the middle of a horde. Every rule in this top-down open-world survival game, from zombie density and bandit difficulty to loot rarity, PvP and permadeath, lives in GameServerSettings.ini, so you can build your own apocalypse from the panel file manager in minutes.

What do you get from a HumanitZ dedicated server?

A HumanitZ dedicated server is a persistent world that keeps your group's base, vehicles and stockpile safe without depending on anyone's PC. The fun in this top-down open-world survival game comes from long-term progress: one night you fortify the base, the next day a friend logs in alone to siphon fuel, and on the weekend the whole group pushes into a new town together.

On your own server you write the rules. For relaxed co-op you switch PvP off and soften the bandits. For a hardcore community you enable PermaDeath, make the OnDeath item-loss setting harsher and double the zombie count. Proximity voice is a server choice too, controlled by the Voip setting.

According to the official wiki, MaxPlayers defaults to 16, which is plenty for a group of friends, and larger communities can raise it. Just keep in mind that hardware needs climb quickly as the player count goes up, so choosing the right plan early saves you from stutter later on.

Which plan and how much RAM does HumanitZ need?

We recommend 8 GB of RAM as the starting point, and a group of two to eight players on default settings runs comfortably on Gold 8GB. In HumanitZ the world settings matter as much as the player count: raising ZombieAmountMulti, shortening ZombieRespawnTimer or making loot refresh faster all increase the number of entities the server has to simulate at once.

Groups approaching the default 16-player cap are better off on Diamond 12GB, and servers where players spread across the map with lots of vehicles should consider Emerald 16GB. If you plan to go past 20 players or crank zombie density way up, Xtreme 32GB with 12 vCores is the safe choice.

On the CPU side, large hordes and vehicle physics lean mostly on single-thread speed, which is where the Ryzen 9 9950X helps. Disk needs are modest, but backups and log files pile up over months of play, and the NVMe allocation starting at 70 GB handles that without trouble.

What is inside GameServerSettings.ini?

Every HumanitZ server setting lives in GameServerSettings.ini inside the TSSGame folder. Next to it sits REF_GameServerSettings.ini, a reference copy that lists each key with its default value; it is the first place to look when you break a setting or forget what one does.

The top of the file defines the server's identity. ServerName is what appears in the server list, Password is the join password, AdminPass is the admin password, MaxPlayers is the player cap, and SaveName picks which world save the server loads. Keep the same SaveName and the world continues; give it a new name and you get a fresh start.

The world settings define the game's personality. PVP, PermaDeath, OnDeath and RespawnTimer cover combat and death. LootRespawn, RarityFood, RarityAmmo and RarityArmor decide how plentiful resources are. VitalDrain and FoodDecay control hunger and thirst pressure, while DayDur and NightDur set the length of day and night. Stop the server in the panel before editing, save the file and start it again, because changes made while it runs are not applied.

Setting up admins, bans and RCON

There are two ways to become an admin in HumanitZ. You can set AdminPass and then type /AdminAccess with that password in chat, or you can add a player's ID to AdminList.txt for permanent rights. On a server you run every day the second option is more practical, since nobody has to type a password on each login.

Bans are stored one ID per line in F_BannedPlayers.txt, and lifting a ban is as simple as deleting that line. To guarantee your regulars a spot on a full server, raise ReserveSlots and list those players in F_ReservedSlots.txt. WelcomeMessage.txt holds the greeting shown to players when they join.

PlayerConnectedLog.txt records who connected and when, and PlayerIDMapped.txt maps IDs to player names so you ban or promote the right person. For remote administration, set RCONEnabled to true and choose an RConPort and RCONPass; use one of the ports assigned to your server in the panel as the RCON port.

How do players connect, and what keeps performance smooth?

Players connect by searching for your ServerName in the HumanitZ server list, and if you set a Password they are asked for it on join. The official wiki asks community servers to avoid the word Official in their name, so pick something unique to your group. The server's IP and port are listed in the panel.

The settings with the biggest impact on performance are the zombie and loot multipliers. If the server starts to feel sluggish, lower ZombieAmountMulti by one step first, then lengthen the loot and zombie respawn timers. Setting SaveIntervalSec very low also adds pointless disk writes; the 300-second default is a good balance for most servers.

When the game updates, server and client versions need to match; most sudden connection problems after a patch come down to that mismatch, and our support team can help you bring the server up to date. Taking a backup of the save data before a big update is a habit worth building.

How to Set Up a HumanitZ Server

  1. 1

Choose a plan for your player count and horde size

Gold 8GB suits two to eight players on default settings; start on Diamond or Emerald if you will near the 16-player cap or raise zombie density.

  2. 2

Pay once and let installation finish on its own

After payment is confirmed the HumanitZ server installs automatically and shows up in the control panel at gamepanel.hostingmerkezi.net, ready to start.

  3. 3

Start once to generate the config files

The first boot creates the settings files in the TSSGame folder; stop the server, then edit GameServerSettings.ini using REF_GameServerSettings.ini as your guide.

  4. 4

Set the name, join password and admin password

Fill in ServerName, Password, AdminPass and MaxPlayers, and add your permanent admins to AdminList.txt.

  5. 5

Dial in zombies, loot and death rules

Use ZombieAmountMulti, LootRespawn, PVP, PermaDeath and OnDeath to set the difficulty your group wants, then save the file and restart the server.

  6. 6

Send your friends to the server list

Share the server name and password; players search for the name in the HumanitZ server list and join directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about pricing, hardware, the config file and admin tools before you rent a HumanitZ server.

How much does HumanitZ server hosting cost?
HumanitZ plans start at $11.00 per month (₺440.00) with Gold 8GB, and there are 5 plans for this game. Each one includes a Ryzen 9 9950X, DDR5 6000 MHz memory, NVMe SSD storage, free DDoS protection, automatic backups and unmetered traffic. The plans differ in RAM, vCores and disk space, and you can move up whenever your server outgrows its tier.
How much RAM does a HumanitZ server need?
For a small group on default settings, 8 GB is enough. If you are getting close to the default 16-player cap we suggest 12 GB, and if you are boosting zombie density or pushing past 20 players, 16 GB or more. In HumanitZ, zombie multipliers and loot respawn speed affect resource use as much as the number of players.
Where do I change the server settings?
All settings are in GameServerSettings.ini inside the TSSGame folder. Stop the server in the panel, open the file with the file manager or over SFTP, save your changes and start it again. REF_GameServerSettings.ini in the same folder shows every key with its default value, which helps if you ever break a setting.
How do I make myself an admin?
There are two ways. After setting AdminPass in GameServerSettings.ini, type /AdminAccess followed by the password in the in-game chat. For a permanent setup, add your player ID to AdminList.txt so you never need to type the password again. PlayerIDMapped.txt shows player IDs matched with their names.
How quickly will my server be ready?
Installation starts automatically the moment your payment is confirmed. Once the server files are in place the server shows up in the panel, and its first start creates the config files. From there you only need to stop it, edit GameServerSettings.ini and start it again, with no manual approval or setup queue in between.
How do my friends join my HumanitZ server?
Your friends search the HumanitZ server list for the name you set as ServerName and join from there. If you set a Password, they are prompted for it when connecting. Avoid using the word Official in your server name, as the official wiki asks community servers not to. The server IP and port are shown in the panel.
Can I enable PvP and permadeath?
Yes. In GameServerSettings.ini, PVP controls player-versus-player combat and PermaDeath turns on permanent death. OnDeath decides which items are lost when you die, and RespawnTimer sets how long a respawn takes. Adjusting all four together is how hardcore communities give their server a completely different feel.
How do saves and backups work?
The HumanitZ server autosaves according to SaveIntervalSec, which defaults to 300 seconds. On top of that, our plans include automatic backups and you can trigger a manual backup from the panel whenever you like. Backing up before a major game update or a SaveName change guarantees you can return to the old world.
Is DDoS protection included?
Yes, every HumanitZ plan comes with free DDoS protection. Public PvP servers can be targeted by rival groups, and the protection filters attack traffic before it reaches your server so players stay connected. You do not need to configure anything or pay extra for it.
Can I upgrade my plan later?
Yes, you can switch to a higher plan at any time, and your world, config files and admin lists remain exactly as they were. Memory use climbs quickly when you raise zombie density or MaxPlayers, and moving up a tier at that point is the easiest way to avoid lag. Just submit the request from the customer area.
