What we picked to keep one of modded Minecraft's most crowded releases running smoothly.
Thaumcraft setups, MineFactory Reloaded farms and Flan's Mod vehicles all run through one main loop; the Ryzen 9 9950X's clock speed keeps things fluid.
Six Flan's Mod content packs, the Hats files and the roughly 310 MB server archive fit easily on NVMe storage, with plenty of space for world growth.
Edit every config file, including server.properties and the Thaumcraft and HQM settings, directly over SFTP or in the web file manager.
After spreading taint, an exploding reactor or a Flan's Mod battle gone wrong, restore your world easily from panel backups.
Busy public servers for The 1.7.10 Pack stay protected with free DDoS mitigation on every plan, and unlimited traffic is standard.

Starting at $8.63 a month, our hosting for The 1.7.10 Pack runs xJon's 200-plus-mod Minecraft 1.7.10 collection on a Ryzen 9 9950X server with DDR5 memory and NVMe SSD storage. Hardcore Questing Mode quests guide you step by step while 1.7.10 classics like Thaumcraft 4, Witchery, Botania, IndustrialCraft 2, Applied Energistics 2 and Galacticraft share one world. Because the server is in İstanbul, players in Türkiye connect with low latency. You manage every server folder over SFTP, including the Flan's Mod content packs and Hats files.
The 1.7.10 Pack is a large collection pack built by xJon for the Technic Platform, running on Minecraft 1.7.10. It introduces itself with over 200 favorite mods, HQM quests, LiteLoader, official Sphax support and a Solder backend. Minecraft 1.7.10 was the most crowded version in the modding world for a long time, and this pack gathers that era's best-loved mods under one roof.
For magic you get Thaumcraft 4 with add-ons like Thaumic Tinkerer, Thaumic Horizons and Forbidden Magic, plus Witchery, Botania and Blood Magic. On the tech side there is IndustrialCraft 2 with Advanced Solar Panels and Gravitation Suite, Applied Energistics 2, EnderIO, Thermal Expansion, Mekanism Community Edition, Big Reactors, MineFactory Reloaded and Factorization. Exploration comes from Twilight Forest, Hardcore Ender Expansion, Mystcraft, and Galacticraft with ExtraPlanets. Flan's Mod weapons and vehicles, Portal Gun, Morph, Sync and The Necromancy Mod give the pack its own personality, and Hardcore Questing Mode quests keep players from getting lost in all that content.
The LaunchServer.sh script in the official server archive starts Java with -Xmx3G, a value sized for booting more than two hundred mods on an empty world. Once players settle in and set up bases in several dimensions, requirements climb fast. Our advice: Silver 6GB for up to five players working through HQM together, Gold 8GB as you near ten, and Platinum 10GB or more for bigger communities. The pack already includes mods like FastCraft, FoamFix, Hodgepodge and ArchaicFix that ease 1.7.10's well-known performance and memory issues.
On the CPU side, a 1.7.10 server runs the world tick on a single main thread. Twilight Forest, Galacticraft planets and Mystcraft ages tick as separate dimensions, while MineFactory Reloaded farms, Thaumcraft setups and Flan's Mod vehicles compete for the same time. That makes the Ryzen 9 9950X's high single-core speed decisive. On disk, the server archive is about 310 MB, and our plans leave ample room for the world to grow.
Alongside forge-1.7.10-10.13.4.1614-1.7.10-universal.jar, the libraries, mods and config folders and the LaunchServer scripts, the server archive from The 1.7.10 Pack's Technic Platform page contains two folders unique to this pack. The Flan folder carries the Modern Warfare, WW2, Titan, Mecha Parts, Simple Parts and Ye Olde content packs; without it on the server, guns and vehicles simply are not defined. The hats folder holds the Hats mod's hat files. Upload both in full over SFTP.
Because of the EULA rule that arrived with Minecraft 1.7.10, the server creates eula.txt on its first run and stops; set eula=true and it carries on. Stick to Java 8 here; the 1.7.10 Forge build refuses to start on anything newer. The bundled server.properties ships with level-type=BIOMESOP and max-players=10: the first makes worlds generate with Biomes O' Plenty terrain, and the second should be raised to fit your community. Thanks to the -Dfml.queryResult=confirm flag in the launch script, blocks from any mod you drop from the list are silently deleted at startup.
Most trouble on The 1.7.10 Pack comes from a few familiar sources. The first is chunks kept loaded around the clock: ChickenChunks loaders and bases spread across dimensions burn tick time even when nobody is online. A per-player loader cap and removing loaders from abandoned bases is step one. The second is large automation; dozens of MineFactory Reloaded machines, sprawling AE2 networks and Factorization contraptions can cause sudden tick spikes.
Thaumcraft 4 adds a risk of its own: taint. Left unchecked, taint spreads outward and corrupts the terrain around it, so review the relevant options in Thaumcraft's config file and keep taint-producing experiments away from shared areas. Entity counts are the other thing to watch; here the usual culprit is a fleet of Flan's Mod planes or a pile of tanks that one player forgot about, so simple rules about where vehicles get parked go a long way. Lowering view-distance during peak hours also noticeably reduces chunk load.
Each player first logs into the Technic Launcher with a Java Edition account, then installs The 1.7.10 Pack and ticks the build your server runs in the version list. You can read that build number off the archive's file name or the motd entry in server.properties. If the build differs, the Forge mod lists do not match and the server refuses the connection.
On the client side the pack recommends at least 3 GB of memory, which players should set in the launcher settings. Items like LiteLoader, VoxelMap and the Sphax texture pack only run on the player's side and do not need to be installed on the server. When the game finishes loading, they add the server from the Multiplayer screen using the IP:port listed in your panel. Hardcore Questing Mode stores quest progress in the world save, so factor that in before resetting the server. With the server in İstanbul, players in Türkiye get low latency, and those joining from Europe and the Caucasus usually enjoy smooth connections as well.
Silver 6GB fits up to five players, Gold 8GB suits groups nearing ten, and Platinum 10GB or higher suits larger communities; your server is set up automatically after payment.
Download the server build from The 1.7.10 Pack's Technic Platform page and unpack the roughly 310 MB archive, Flan and hats folders included.
Transfer the Forge jar, the libraries, mods, config, Flan and hats folders, and server.properties to the root directory using your panel's SFTP details.
Launch the forge-1.7.10 universal jar on Java 8; when it writes eula.txt and stops, flip it to eula=true, restart and let the HQM and Flan content load.
Op yourself, raise max-players, decide on a whitelist, and share rules on chunk loaders, taint and vehicle parking with your community.
Players select the same build in the Technic Launcher, set memory to at least 3 GB and connect under Multiplayer with your IP:port.
