Run your own Among Us region instead of the official matchmaking servers: your lobbies, your anti-cheat rules and your plugins, hosted in İstanbul.

Select from our wide range of optimized game servers. Each server is configured for maximum performance and comes with DDoS protection.

What you need to actually run Impostor well: the config file, a plugins folder, readable logs and a fast core.
Edit PublicIp and ports in the Server section, the HTTP listener under HttpServer, and version mixing rules under Compatibility, straight from the panel's file manager.
Impostor's anti-cheat checks colors, names, roles and packet sizes. Settings like BanIpFromGame and AllowCheatingHosts decide how hard your region comes down on cheaters.
Impostor plugins are .dll files that go in the plugins folder, with their dependencies in libraries. Upload over SFTP, restart, and the plugin loads at startup.
Watch who opens which lobby, why the anti-cheat kicked someone and which plugin threw an error. Lower the Serilog level when you need more detail while troubleshooting.
Ryzen 9 9950X cores and DDR5 memory process lobby creation, room code joins and meeting sync on the server side without queuing players.

Among Us Impostor server hosting at TheCrewHost starts at ₺240.00 ($6.00) per month and gives your community its own Among Us region on Ryzen 9 9950X hardware with 4 GB of DDR5 RAM. Impostor is an open-source Among Us private server written in C#: it stands in for the official server, adds server-side anti-cheat and loads .dll plugins. You get full access to config.json, the plugins folder and the logs. Because the server sits in İstanbul, crewmates connecting from Türkiye are not fighting lag during meetings and votes, and DDoS protection plus automatic backups come with every plan.
Impostor is a community-built, open-source private server for Among Us, written in C#, that lets your players connect to your server instead of Innersloth's official ones. It is not an Innersloth product: it is a GPLv3 project that runs the server side of the game, the part that manages lobbies, rather than the game itself.
Running your own region has concrete benefits. The lobby list shows only rooms from your community, so random players and bot accounts disappear. You set the anti-cheat rules, and clients that push color or name limits or try to tamper with roles are caught on the server. Plugins let you add custom commands, logging or other features.
For streamers with a Discord following, school and office groups, or a friend circle that plays with the same crew every night, that adds up to a shared home. An Among Us lobby holds up to 15 players, and a single Impostor server can host many lobbies at the same time.
Everything Impostor does comes from config.json, and the Server section is the one to get right first. PublicIp must be the public IPv4 address you give to players; the default of 127.0.0.1 only works for local testing. PublicPort and ListenPort default to 22023, and game traffic uses that port over UDP. The HttpServer section controls the HTTP matchmaking service that points Among Us to the UDP game service; it has been required since Impostor 1.9.0 and by default runs on the same port number over TCP.
Under AntiCheat you will find switches such as Enabled, BanIpFromGame and AllowCheatingHosts (default Never), plus individual checks like EnableColorLimitChecks, EnableNameLimitChecks and EnableRoleChecks that can be toggled one by one. The Compatibility section holds AllowFutureGameVersions, AllowHostAuthority and AllowVersionMixing, all off by default.
Stop the server before you edit, keep the JSON syntax intact and take a backup first. A single missing comma is enough to stop Impostor from starting, and the console will tell you where it tripped.
Impostor plugins are compiled .NET .dll files that go in the server's plugins folder, while any extra libraries they depend on go in the libraries folder. Upload them with the panel file manager or SFTP, restart, and the plugin is listed in the console during startup. Make sure each plugin targets the Impostor version you run; one written against an older API will fail on load.
If your players use client-side mods, the anti-cheat comes into play. Mods that send non-vanilla data can trip ForbidProtocolExtensions or the role and ownership checks, and settings such as AllowHostOnlyExtensions and AllowHostAuthority under Compatibility change that behavior. Which setting a given mod needs varies from mod to mod, so try changes in a small test lobby first.
Loosening only the check you need is safer than switching protection off altogether: your region stays shielded against cheaters who wander into an open lobby while your modded crew keeps playing.
Impostor is a very light server, and our Bronze 4GB plan is more than enough for a single community. It does not simulate a game world; it relays lobbies, player state and meeting and voting events, so memory needs are small and CPU load per lobby is low.
What drives load is the number of lobbies open at once. A few friend groups or a mid-sized Discord community will not stretch the Bronze plan. If you run several plugins, turn on game recording (GameRecorderEnabled) or juggle many parallel lobbies at peak hours, Silver 6GB gives you a comfortable buffer.
To be straight with you, Gold and everything above it, up to Xtreme 32GB, is far more than an Impostor server will ever use. Those tiers exist for heavy games on the same hardware line. What makes a difference for Impostor is location and clock speed: Ryzen 9 9950X hardware in İstanbul helps every screen update together when someone calls an emergency meeting.
Players connect with a region file generated on Impostor's official site (impostor.github.io/Impostor). They enter your server address, download regionInfo.json, drop it into %APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\Innersloth\Among Us on Windows and pick your server from the region menu when the game starts. From there it is business as usual: someone hosts, shares the room code and everyone else types it in.
The detail that trips most new owners up is HTTPS. According to Impostor's documentation, Among Us 16.0.5 and later only reach the server's HTTP matchmaking service over HTTPS, and Impostor does not handle SSL certificates itself. You therefore need a domain name and a reverse proxy (the docs suggest Caddy or Nginx) that terminates HTTPS on that domain and forwards requests to the server's HTTP port, while game traffic still flows straight to your server over UDP. You can run the proxy on a VDS or VPS you control and register the domain with us too; our support team can talk you through which route fits.
Version matching matters as well. When Among Us updates, players on the new version can be refused until Impostor supports it; uploading the current Impostor build and restarting usually fixes it.
One community with several lobbies at once fits easily on Bronze 4GB. If you plan to stack many plugins, Silver 6GB is the step up worth considering.
Impostor is installed automatically after payment. At gamepanel.hostingmerkezi.net you get the console, file manager, backups and the start and stop buttons.
Stop the server, put the public IP shown in your panel into PublicIp under the Server section and check the port values. Decide on your anti-cheat settings now too.
Among Us 16.0.5 and later only connect over HTTPS. Point your domain at a Caddy or Nginx proxy on a VDS or VPS you control and forward requests to the server's HTTP port.
Put the .dll plugins you want in the plugins folder and their dependencies in libraries over SFTP. After a restart, confirm each plugin is listed in the console.
Tell PC players to generate regionInfo.json on the Impostor site using your HTTPS domain and place it in their Among Us folder. A pinned Discord post saves repeat questions.
Pick your server in the region menu, host a lobby and share the room code. Watch connections and anti-cheat messages in the console to confirm everything works.
