Tools built into MCGalaxy itself that you will reach for every day while running a ClassiCube community.
The server runs headless through MCGalaxyCLI. Anything you type into the panel console, from /rank to /newlvl to /physics, executes with full console authority, no in-game login required.
Ranks from Guest to Owner live in properties/ranks.properties. With /perbuild and /pervisit you decide who can build on or even enter each map, by rank or by individual player name.
Zombie Survival, Lava Survival, CTF, TNT Wars and Countdown ship as MCGalaxy modules. Turn any suitable map into an arena and start rounds without hunting for third-party code.
/pcreate writes a plugin template, /pcompile builds it and /pload loads it. Lightweight custom commands follow the same pattern with /cmdcreate, /compile and /cmdload.
MCGalaxy keeps numbered per-map backups under levels/backups. Roll a map back with /restore, see who placed or broke any block with /about, and fall back on panel backups for everything else.
Put a bot token and channel IDs in properties/discordbot.properties and in-game chat flows into Discord. Anyone in those channels can type .who to see who is online right now.
ClassiCube server hosting at TheCrewHost starts at ₺240.00 ($6.00) a month and gives you an MCGalaxy server running on Ryzen 9 9950X hardware in İstanbul. The MGC in the name stands for MCGalaxy, the open-source C# server descended from MCForge and MCLawl that speaks the Minecraft Classic protocol used by the ClassiCube client. Freebuild worlds, personal /os realms for players and built-in Zombie Survival, Lava Survival, CTF, TNT Wars and Countdown are ready out of the box. You get direct access to the properties folder, your .lvl maps and plugin source files through the panel's file manager or SFTP.
A ClassiCube(MGC) server is a Minecraft Classic-style server powered by MCGalaxy that players join with the free, open-source ClassiCube client. It is block building stripped to the essentials: no inventory, no hunger, no crafting, just maps, blocks and people. That simplicity is exactly why it stays popular for build communities and quick-fire minigames.
Most MCGalaxy servers fall into one of three shapes. Freebuild servers give players plots or realms and promote good builders up the rank ladder. Minigame servers cycle Zombie Survival or Lava Survival rounds. Adventure servers chain maps together with portals and message blocks to tell a small story.
Thanks to the Classic Protocol Extension (CPE), you are not stuck with the original block palette. Per-map texture packs, custom block definitions and environment settings such as sky and fog colors all render properly in the ClassiCube client, and players who do not want to install anything can join through the browser-based web client.
Very little. MCGalaxy's memory use is driven far more by the total size of the maps you keep loaded than by player count. A classic map stores roughly one byte per block, so a 256×64×256 world is about four million blocks, a few megabytes. A giant 1024×256×1024 map, on the other hand, can pass 250 MB on its own.
That is why Bronze 4GB comfortably carries an ordinary freebuild or minigame server with dozens of players online. Keeping text/autoload.txt short and unloading maps nobody is using does more for memory than moving to a bigger plan.
On the CPU side, physics is the real cost. Water, lava and sand flow are set per map from 0 to 5 with /physics, and if a high physics level on a large map starts causing lag, /physics kill stops it on every level at once. On disk, the folder that grows over time is blockdb, since every block change is logged there. Emerald and Xtreme are genuinely more than this game will ever use.
New maps come from /newlvl: give it a name, width, height, length and a theme, and it defaults to flat if you leave the theme out. /help newlvl themes lists the rest. The heightmap theme is the fun one, since it takes an image URL instead of a seed and turns bright pixels into tall terrain.
For player-owned space, /os add creates a personal realm that is protected automatically, so only its creator can build there by default. Maps made with /newlvl start open to everyone, which you narrow down with /perbuild. The spawn map is set by main-name in server.properties, and every player can always visit it regardless of visit permissions.
Minigames need no separate install because Zombie Survival, Lava Survival, CTF, TNT Wars and Countdown are MCGalaxy's own modules. A proven layout is a hub map with portals leading to each arena, plus message blocks that explain the rules, so newcomers never wander around wondering where the game is.
The first thing to do on a fresh server is to promote yourself: type /rank yourname owner into the panel console. Rank names, colors and limits sit in properties/ranks.properties, and default-rank in server.properties decides what newcomers start as. max-guests caps how many guest-rank players can be online, and with verify-names enabled, names are checked against classicube.net accounts.
MCGalaxy's moderation kit is mature. /kick, /ban, /tempban and /mute do what you expect, and /warn auto-kicks a player after three warnings. /patrol teleports you to a guest no staff member has checked recently, and /follow lets you shadow someone's movements.
When griefing happens, run /about and touch the damaged block to see every change made to it and by whom. /undoplayer takes a name and a time span and reverts that player's edits on the current map, while /undoarea limits the rollback to a region. For heavier damage, /restore lists a map's numbered backups and swaps one back in. To keep the server friends-only, enable use-whitelist and manage entries with /whitelist.
MCGalaxy compiles C# plugins and custom commands from inside the server. Upload the source file to the plugins folder, run /pcompile, then /pload, and compiled plugins will load automatically on later restarts. Custom command sources live under extra/commands/source. One caution matters here: plugins run with the same privileges as the server, so only use code from authors you trust and compile from source rather than dropping in someone else's DLL.
Texture packs just need a .zip at a public URL. /texture global applies it to every map, /texture level only to the one you are standing in, and players can reskin their own realm with /os texture.
For the Discord relay, create a bot in the Discord developer portal, enable the Message Content Intent, then put the token and channel IDs into properties/discordbot.properties. General channels carry normal chat both ways, while operator channels carry staff /opchat. IRC relay settings are available too if your community still lives there.
The easiest route is the classicube.net server list. Set public to true in server.properties and MCGalaxy starts sending heartbeats, so your server appears both on the website and in the ClassiCube client's list. Signed-in players simply click its name.
If you would rather stay off the list, there are two other ways in. On startup the console prints a classicube.net/server/play link; players can paste its hash into the client or open the link in a browser to play through the web client. The Direct connect screen also accepts a username plus IP:port. The default port is 25565, and your panel shows the exact address.
Players in Türkiye feel the İstanbul location every time a block is placed or broken, because the round trip stays short. Putting the server type in its name, such as Freebuild or ZS, helps the right players find you in a crowded list.
Bronze 4GB is plenty for a typical freebuild or minigame server. Consider Silver 6GB only if you plan to keep several giant maps loaded at the same time.
Once payment clears, MCGalaxy installs itself and the server appears at gamepanel.hostingmerkezi.net. Its first start creates the properties, levels and text folders.
In the file manager set server-name, motd, max-players and default-rank. Set public to true if you want to be listed on classicube.net, then restart.
Join once with ClassiCube, then type /rank yourname owner in the panel console. From then on every command works from inside the game.
Create hub and freebuild maps with /newlvl, choose the spawn with main-name, and connect minigame arenas through portals and message blocks.
Post the classicube.net play link or IP:port in your Discord. Turn on the Discord relay too, so in-game chat shows up in your community channel.
