The access and power you need to run a sandbox RPG full of magic, flight and castle building.
Every world rule, including ServerName, Password, ServerType and PlayerLimit, sits in a single WorldCreationSettings line in Game.ini. Edit it straight from the panel's file manager.
ExperienceMultiplier, KnowledgePointEarnedMultiplier and ResourceCollectionMultiplier set the pace of progress. A fast PvP world or a long, slow journey is your call.
FlyingCostMultiplier and FlyingSpeedMultiplier balance broom and mount flight, while BaseManaRegen and MagicFindMultiplier shape the magic economy of your Ignus.
A castle that took weeks can vanish after one bad setting or a brutal siege. Automatic backups keep your world save safe so you can roll back when needed.
Dynamic destruction, armies of tamed creatures and crowded House battles push the server hard. Ryzen 9 9950X cores and DDR5 memory help keep the world smooth at those moments.
Rivalry between Houses sometimes spills over into attacks on the server. Free DDoS protection filters that traffic before it reaches you, at no extra charge.
Citadel: Forged with Fire server hosting at TheCrewHost starts at ₺440.00 ($11.00) per month on Gold 8GB, with 8 GB of DDR5 RAM, Ryzen 9 9950X cores and NVMe SSD to carry the 36-square-kilometer world of Ignus, its castles and your tamed creatures. The server's rules live in the WorldCreationSettings line of Game.ini, and you get full access to it: set experience and resource multipliers, flying costs, NPC population and structure decay yourself. Hosting in İstanbul gives House members in Türkiye a short route during sieges, and free DDoS protection plus automatic backups come with every plan.
A Citadel: Forged with Fire server is a persistent sandbox RPG world where you share the magical land of Ignus with friends or a whole community. The game's Steam page describes a 36-square-kilometer map: you learn spells, craft wands and enchanted weapons, and fly by broomstick or on tamed dragons and giant eagles. With the Pacify spell you can tame creatures and build an army of minions that grows stronger alongside you.
Building matters as much as magic. Castles are raised from hundreds of structural pieces, and a dynamic destruction engine means they can genuinely be torn down. Players band together in guilds called Houses, each with its own internal hierarchy, to build huge castles, hunt legendary creatures and wage war on rival Houses.
Running your own server lets you set the tempo of all this. Build a competitive world where House warfare takes center stage, or a calmer community focused on building and exploration; the settings in Game.ini make both possible.
Citadel's server settings live in Game.ini in the Config folder, and above all in a single line called WorldCreationSettings. Under the [/Script/Citadel.CitadelGameInstance] header, that line is a parenthesized list of comma-separated values: ServerName is the name in the server list, Password the join password, ServerType the server type (the template ships with PVP), and PlayerLimit the player cap, which is 20 in the template.
The same line holds the multipliers that shape progression. ExperienceMultiplier controls experience, KnowledgePointEarnedMultiplier and CharacterPointEarnedMultiplier set knowledge and character point gains, and ResourceCollectionMultiplier sets gathering speed. PlayerDamageMultiplier and ArmorMultiplier decide how punishing combat is, NPCPopulationMultiplier sets how crowded the world is with NPCs, and TimeOfDayLock controls the day cycle.
The [UWorks] section of the file holds the connection and query ports (ConnectionPort and QueryPort), which must match the ports assigned to your server. There is also a separate Password line under [/Script/Citadel.SocialManager]; replace the template's default with a strong value. Before touching the file, stop the server and keep a copy of the current version.
In a game built around castles, how tough structures are and what happens to abandoned ones defines a server's character. StructureDamageMultiplier sets how much damage structures take, and StructureDecayMultiplier how quickly neglected structures decay. bThronesDecay decides whether thrones decay as well. Balancing these values to your community's pace protects active players' castles while stopping abandoned builds from clogging the map.
Other keys make building easier or stricter. bFreeBuildMode and bUnlimitedResources remove resource limits for a creative building server. bRespectNoBuildZones controls whether no-build zones are enforced. MagicStructureManaRegenerationMultiplier and MagicStructureManaConsumptionMultiplier tune the mana balance of magical structures.
On a PvP-heavy server, keeping structure damage high and decay moderate makes sieges meaningful. In a relaxed building community, lowering damage and slowing decay protects everyone's work. After each change, watch for a few days and adjust if needed; that is the healthiest way to find the right balance.
Our Citadel: Forged with Fire plans start at Gold 8GB, a sensible starting point for a community up to the template's 20-player limit. In this Unreal Engine game, server load comes not only from player count but from the number of structures, tamed creatures and NPCs in the world, so an older world asks for more resources over time.
On servers where Houses build large castles, many tamed creatures roam and NPCPopulationMultiplier has been raised, Platinum 10GB or Diamond 12GB is more comfortable. For a PvP server that raises the player cap above the template value and sees regular sieges, Emerald 16GB adds extra cores and memory.
Xtreme 32GB is more than most worlds of this game need, though it gives a wide buffer if you plan a very crowded, long-lived world. Whichever plan you pick, the high clock speed of the Ryzen 9 9950X keeps the server responsive during siege moments heavy with dynamic destruction.
Players join by searching the in-game server list for the name you set as ServerName in Game.ini. If you filled in Password, they are asked for it on join, which is the simplest way to keep a server open only to your House.
By default, the Citadel server uses port 7777 for connections and 27015 for queries. On our hosting, your assigned ports are shown in the panel, and the ConnectionPort and QueryPort values in Game.ini need to match them, or the server may not appear in the list.
Short tags such as TR, PvP or 2x XP in the server name help you stand out among other worlds and attract the right players. With the server hosted in İstanbul, wizards connecting from Türkiye fly and fight with low latency, and players from Europe, the Middle East and the Caucasus generally get a good connection too. Once the console prints the line starting with "Steam Server initialized", the server is ready for players.
Start on Gold 8GB for a House community of up to 20 players. If you plan large castles, a high NPC population or a bigger player cap, choose Platinum or Diamond.
Your Citadel server installs automatically after payment is confirmed. The console, file manager, backups and start and stop buttons are ready at gamepanel.hostingmerkezi.net.
Stop the server and set ServerName, Password, ServerType and PlayerLimit in Config/Game.ini. Take care not to break the parentheses or commas.
Set experience, gathering, flight cost and structure decay multipliers. Replace the template password under SocialManager with a strong one.
Start the server and wait for the console line that begins with "Steam Server initialized". Take a panel backup of the working settings right away.
Share the server name and password; players join from the in-game server list. Lay the foundations of your first castle together.
