Shape The Front's server parameters, admin rights and save settings around the community you want to build.
ServerFightModeType sets the combat mode, while IsCanFriendDamage and IsCanSelfDamage separately control friendly fire and self-damage.
Steam64 IDs you list in ServerAdminAccounts, separated by semicolons, receive GM rights in-game. IsShowGmTitle decides whether admins carry a visible title.
Pick up to five ServerTags to advertise PvE, PvP, an XP multiplier, gathering rate, keep-inventory and a 15 to 60 day wipe cycle in the server list.
SaveWorldInterval sets how often, in seconds, the world is saved, with 300 as the default. Combined with panel backups you always have a restore point after a big raid.
Keep the game's anti-cheat enabled with UseACE, manage the profanity filter with SensitiveWords, and give fresh characters starter protection through GreenHand.
The open world, NPCs, vehicles and bases are all simulated server-side. Six- and twelve-core Ryzen 9 9950X plans with DDR5 memory handle that load comfortably.
The Front server hosting at TheCrewHost starts at ₺840.00 ($21.00) per month, and in line with the game's official recommendation our plans begin at 16 GB of RAM. Running your own server for Samar Studio's open-world survival shooter lets you set PvE or PvP combat, define admins by Steam ID, and tune autosave timing and new-player protection. The server runs in our İstanbul datacenter on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X hardware with NVMe storage, so world saves stay fast even during heavy base raids. Advertise your wipe cycle with server tags and grow the community at your own pace.
The Front is an open-world game from Samar Studio that blends survival, crafting, base building and gunfights, with you playing a resistance fighter taking on a tyrannical empire. On official servers the rates, wipe schedule and rules are fixed, and newcomers have a hard time surviving on crowded PvP servers.
On your own server you set that balance. Open a relaxed PvE world for your friends, spin up a PvP server for clan wars, or give newcomers breathing room with GreenHand protection. The server name, password, admins and save interval are entirely under your control.
You will often see ProjectWar in the server files; it is the game's internal project name, and folders and logs use it. If you are ever unsure which file to look at, our 24/7 support team can point you in the right direction.
The Front is a large Unreal Engine open world, and the server simulates not just players but NPCs, vehicles, structures and every interaction in the world. That is why the game's official recommendation is high, and why we do not offer plans below 16 GB for it.
Emerald 16GB, with six Ryzen 9 9950X cores, is a solid start for friend groups and small to mid-sized communities; we recommend it for up to around 30 players. Xtreme 32GB, with twelve cores and twice the memory, is built for busy PvP servers above 30 players, bases that keep growing through a long wipe cycle, and worlds that expand fast under boosted gathering rates.
Server load climbs as a wipe goes on, because the number of structures and items in the world keeps rising. If your server starts to stutter in the second half of a wipe, that is the clearest signal to move up a tier. NVMe storage also keeps growing world saves from freezing the game.
Most of The Front's server settings are passed as launch parameters. ServerName sets the name in the list, ServerPassword the join password and ServerFightModeType whether the server is PvE or PvP. IsCanSelfDamage and IsCanFriendDamage separately decide whether players can hurt themselves and their teammates.
SaveWorldInterval is the world save interval in seconds. GreenHand gives new characters starter protection, UseACE controls the anti-cheat system and SensitiveWords the chat profanity filter. QueueThreshold and MaxQueueSize define how the waiting queue behaves when the server is full.
The server uses four separate ports, for game traffic, beacon, query and the shutdown service, and all of them are assigned to your server in the panel. If you edit the launch line by hand, watch one small but important detail: always keep ServerPassword as the last parameter. Parameters added after it can cause the password to be read incorrectly and lock players out.
Admin rights come from ServerAdminAccounts: list 17-digit Steam64 IDs separated by semicolons, and those accounts receive GM rights in-game. With IsShowGmTitle enabled, admins carry a special title, which helps players on PvP servers know who has authority.
Wipes are the heartbeat of The Front communities. ServerTags let you advertise a 15, 30, 45 or 60 day wipe cycle and highlight a PvE or PvP tag, XP multiplier, gathering rate or keep-inventory, with a limit of five tags at a time. On wipe day, stop the server, back up the current world and reset the save folder.
Automatic backups run in the background, and it pays to add a manual one from the panel at key points in the season. Keeping a copy of the final state before each wipe makes it easy to settle end-of-season disputes or restore a base that was deleted by mistake.
Players search the in-game server list for the name you set in ServerName and enter the password if there is one. The server is listed on Steam through its query port, and the beacon port handles the join handshake, so all four ports should stay exactly as the panel assigned them.
When the server fills up, anyone arriving after the QueueThreshold limit is placed in a waiting queue, and MaxQueueSize caps how many people that queue holds. On a busy PvP server a working queue spares dozens of players the frustration of failed joins when everyone logs in at once on wipe day.
Gunfights and raid defense punish lag, and an İstanbul server gives players in Türkiye the low latency they need for hits to register accurately. Players connecting from nearby regions generally enjoy a good connection too.
Emerald 16GB suits friend groups and communities up to about 30 players; Xtreme 32GB is recommended for busy PvP and long wipe cycles.
Setup starts automatically after payment. The game files are large, so the first download can take a little longer than it does for smaller games.
Enter ServerName, ServerPassword and ServerFightModeType, and decide up front whether you want PvE or PvP and whether friendly fire is on.
List the 17-digit Steam64 IDs of your admins in ServerAdminAccounts, separated by semicolons, then restart the server.
Use ServerTags to advertise your wipe cycle and play style, and set SaveWorldInterval to match how active your community is.
Post the server name and password in your Discord; players search the server list and connect. The queue takes over during peak moments.
Questions The Front server owners ask about memory, PvE and PvP settings, admins and wipes.
