The parts of a Renown community server that decide whether a wipe feels fair and keeps running smoothly.
Turn off bUseOfficialWipeSchedule and set WipeSchedulerInterval for weekly, biweekly or monthly cycles; RCON's setserverwipetime and wipenow handle one-off changes.
ResourceGainMultiplier, GlobalCraftingMultiplier, GlobalSmeltingMultiplier and GlobalDecayDamageMultiplier let you run a relaxed 2x server or a punishing vanilla wipe.
playerlist, broadcast, saveworld, kickplayer, banplayer, addadmin and queryserverhealth work from any RCON client, so moderation continues while you are out of the game.
An Unreal Engine 5 server tracks every wall, trebuchet and sleeping player. The Ryzen 9 9950X's single-core speed keeps tick times steady as bases grow.
Survival saves grow with every build part. Samsung NVMe storage shortens world saves and the scheduled restarts Renown's survival mode performs.
Raid windows are exactly when a rival might try to knock your server offline. Free DDoS protection runs on every plan with nothing to set up.
Renown server hosting at TheCrewHost starts at ₺240.00 (about $6.00) a month and gives you a community server that installs itself on Ryzen 9 9950X hardware with DDR5 memory and NVMe storage in İstanbul. Renown is RDBK Studios' Unreal Engine 5 medieval survival game, in Early Access since September 2025, where clans build castles, fight in skill-based melee and siege each other's walls. Official servers follow the studio's wipe calendar; on your own server you set it with bUseOfficialWipeSchedule and WipeSchedulerInterval, tune gather and crafting multipliers in Game.ini and manage admins over RCON.
Survival is the heart of Renown: you gather, craft and research, grow a camp into a castle, and bring siege engines to other clans' walls. The default map rotation, RSurv-AlgaraIsle_p, loads Algara Isle. Game.ini also carries sections for the FFA, TDM, LTS, Raid, Horde and Duels game modes, and Raid Mode skips the long grind to get groups raiding quickly.
The dedicated server tool installs anonymously from Steam under app ID 1512690, so hosting does not require owning the game, although every player who joins needs their own copy. RDBK Studios moved official servers from weekly to two-week wipes and, in June 2026, rebalanced the economy around monthly wipes. Community servers are free to choose whatever wipe length they like.
You can also shape the raiding rules around your community. On the official defaults, raiding is limited to an online window from the afternoon into the night, and community servers can change those hours; outside the window, buildings with a banner take 80 percent less damage. Matching the raid window to the hours your clans actually play is one of the most appreciated changes a community host can make.
RDBK Studios has not published official RAM figures, so treat our recommendations as starting points. The developers have explained openly that wipe length on official servers was limited by server load and the save system, which tells you memory and CPU demand climb as a wipe ages and bases multiply.
Bronze is fine for learning the config or running short modes such as Duels and TDM, but a survival wipe with real bases outgrows it quickly. A friend group of up to ten can start on Silver. For a 10 to 20 player community with several clans, Gold is our recommended starting tier. The default MaxPlayers in Game.ini is 32; if you expect to keep those slots busy for weeks, choose Platinum or Diamond, and consider Emerald for larger populations on month-long wipes.
Your own server is the most reliable gauge. Over RCON, queryserverhealth reports tick time and player count, getdeltaseconds returns the last five seconds of tick times, and getworldinfo shows performance data. If tick times keep rising toward the end of a wipe, it is time to move up a tier.
Server settings live in Game.ini and Engine.ini under Renown_Combat/Saved/Config. The server writes them on its first start; stop it, then edit. The Renown_GameInstance section holds the basics: ServerName, ServerPassword, MaxPlayers, Public, MOTD, AdminPassword, AdminWhitelist, BanList, MaxPing and MapRotation.
The Renown_Base_GameMode section decides how the game feels. ResourceGainMultiplier and GoldCoinGainMultiplier set the pace of progression, GlobalCraftingMultiplier and GlobalSmeltingMultiplier control production time, GlobalResourceRespawnTimeMultiplier governs how fast nodes return, and GlobalMaintenanceCostMultiplier with GlobalDecayDamageMultiplier sets how much upkeep hurts. MaxPlayersPerBanner caps how many players can share one banner, the simplest way to stop a zerg clan from flattening everyone else. Balance can shift after patches; after one update the developers advised 3x hosts to drop to 2x.
ServerRebootTimeMinutes in the survival section and the global MaxServerUptime value control how often the server restarts itself, so plan them around your community's peak hours. bEnableServerQueue puts players in a queue when the server is full instead of turning them away.
Wipes can be handled two ways. For a permanent cycle, switch off bUseOfficialWipeSchedule and set WipeSchedulerInterval to the interval you want. For a one-off date, RCON's setserverwipetime takes the wipe time in Unix seconds, and wipenow saves and resets the world immediately. Players see the time until the next wipe in the server browser, so keep the setting in line with the date you announce.
Administration also runs through RCON. After enabling EnableRCON, RCONPort and RCONPassword in Game.ini, use addadmin and removeadmin with a SteamID and getadminwhitelist to review the list. banplayer, unbanplayer and getbanlist handle bans, broadcast and directmessage handle announcements, and saveworld forces a save before a restart. The server expects each RCON session to send a keepalive every 10 seconds, so use a client that polls playerlist or getchat on an interval.
upload_server_queue_priority_list gives the SteamIDs you supply priority in the join queue, handy for clan leaders or supporters. The bAntiCheat key in Game.ini controls the anti-cheat behaviour of your server.
With Public=True, your server appears in the in-game browser. The reworked browser shows each server's wipe timer and the time until the next wipe, so choose a ServerName that is easy to remember and hints at your wipe rhythm. If ServerPassword is set, players enter it on join, and the MOTD greets them with your rules.
When the server is full and bEnableServerQueue is on, players wait in a queue, and ReconnectionGracePeriodSeconds sets how long someone who drops can return without losing their place. MaxPing decides whether high-ping players are admitted; a sensible limit for a Türkiye-based community reduces the combat inconsistencies that latency causes in a parry-and-block melee system.
With the server in İstanbul, players across Türkiye get a short route for the timing-sensitive blocks and perfect parries that decide Renown fights. The game's default ports are 7777 for game traffic, 27015 for queries, 9999 for the beacon and 25575 for RCON; the ports assigned to your server are listed in your panel.
Bronze suits testing and short modes; start at Gold for a survival wipe with several clans and at Platinum for a full 32 slots.
Once payment clears, the Renown dedicated server installs itself, and you can watch the first start in the gamepanel.hostingmerkezi.net console.
When the server has written its config files, stop it and set ServerName, ServerPassword, MaxPlayers, MOTD and the rate multipliers in the file manager.
Disable bUseOfficialWipeSchedule, set WipeSchedulerInterval for your own cycle and make it match the wipe date you announce to players.
Set EnableRCON and RCONPassword, connect with an RCON client and run addadmin with each staff member's SteamID.
Check the listing and wipe timer in the browser, then post the name and rules in your Discord so the first castles go up the same evening.
