Why TheCrewHost for Path Of Titans?

Big maps full of players and dinosaur AI need a strong CPU, plenty of memory and fast storage, plus the moderation tools to run a community.

Your mod list in a few lines

Add EnabledMods=UGC_ IDs under the [PathOfTitans.Mods] header in GameUserSettings.ini. The server updates mods on each boot, and players fetch missing ones when they join.

Growth and world rules

bServerGrowth, GlobalPassiveGrowthPerMinute and QuestGrowthMultiplier set the growth pace; ServerDayLength and ServerNightLength shape the day cycle; MaxGroupSize caps herd size.

Whitelists and admin IDs

The whitelist switches on the moment you add Alderon Games IDs to Saved/whitelist.txt. The ServerAdmins line in Game.ini hands admin rights to the people you trust.

CPU for crowded maps

Dinosaur movement, fish, quests and water sources are calculated server-side nonstop. The Ryzen 9 9950X's high clock speed keeps the tick rate steady on a full server.

Character database on NVMe

Player characters live in DatabaseCache and map state in SaveGames. NVMe storage keeps saves fast, and automatic backups protect all that progress.

Path of Titans server hosting at TheCrewHost starts at $11.00 a month (₺440.00) on the Gold 8GB plan, and gives you a community server installed from Alderon Games' official server build, running on Ryzen 9 9950X hardware with NVMe SSD storage in İstanbul. In Game.ini you set growth speed, day length, group limits and player capacity; the EnabledMods lines in GameUserSettings.ini add mods. The server pulls the latest version of each mod on every boot, and players download whatever mods they are missing as they join. Building a strict, realistic roleplay community or a relaxed fast-growth server is entirely up to you.

What can you do with a Path of Titans community server?

Path of Titans is Alderon Games' multiplayer dinosaur survival game. Players pick a species, grow it from hatchling to adult, complete quests, form herds and fight other players to survive. A community server hands the rules of that experience over to you.

Through Game.ini you can turn growth off entirely, add passive growth per minute or multiply quest rewards. You set how many characters each player can have and how many per species, and toggle fish, fall damage, chat and home caves. You can restrict carnivores and herbivores to grouping with their own species and decide how many players a single herd can hold.

Because of that flexibility, community servers tend to split into two camps. On one side are slow-growth, rule-heavy, realistic roleplay servers; on the other are fast-growth servers built for hanging out with friends. Whichever you build, mods and a Discord link turn your server into your community's home base.

How much RAM does a Path of Titans server need?

The official recommended minimum for Path of Titans is 8 GB of memory, which is why our plans for this game start at Gold 8GB and we don't offer anything smaller. The server keeps the entire map, player characters, AI creatures and the quest system in memory at once, and that load grows with your player count and mod list.

Here's what we recommend: Gold 8GB for a community of up to 30 players on vanilla or a handful of mods. Platinum 10GB for 30 to 50 players with a few extra mods. Diamond 12GB for servers using a mod map or reaching 50 to 75 players. Emerald 16GB for large communities approaching 100 players with a long mod list, since that plan also brings six vCores.

Xtreme 32GB is more than most Path of Titans communities need. It only makes sense for servers that are consistently full, aiming beyond 100 players and running a heavy mod stack. These figures are recommendations; real usage depends on your mods and map, and you can upgrade whenever you need to.

How do you set growth, the day cycle and groups in Game.ini?

Most settings live in Game.ini (under Config/LinuxServer on a Linux server), split across two headers. Under [/Script/PathOfTitans.IGameSession], ServerName sets the server name, using underscores instead of spaces. ServerPassword holds the password, ServerDiscord your Discord invite code and MaxPlayers the player cap. MaxCharactersPerPlayer and MaxCharactersPerSpecies set character limits, and bServerPaidUsersOnly decides whether only players who bought the game can join.

For growth, bServerGrowth turns it on or off, GlobalPassiveGrowthPerMinute adds passive growth each minute and QuestGrowthMultiplier scales growth from quests. bServerFish, bServerFallDamage, bServerAllowChat and bServerHomeCaves switch those systems on or off with a single line each.

Under [/Script/PathOfTitans.IGameMode], ServerStartingTime sets the starting time of day (0 to 2400), ServerDayLength and ServerNightLength set day and night length in minutes, and MaxGroupSize caps group size. bServerRestrictCarnivoreGrouping and bServerRestrictHerbivoreGrouping limit mixed-species herds. Edit the file with the server stopped and put each setting on its own line; changes take effect after a restart.

How do you add mods to a Path of Titans server?

In Path of Titans, mods are defined in GameUserSettings.ini, not Game.ini. Under the [PathOfTitans.Mods] header, add an EnabledMods= line for each mod, followed by its unique ID starting with UGC_. For several mods, simply put each on its own line.

Updates are the easy part: on every boot, the server checks that it is running the latest version of each mod it uses. Players also download any mods they're missing automatically when they join, so you never have to send anyone files by hand. To use a mod map, add a ServerMap line under the IGameSession header in Game.ini; otherwise the server opens on the default official map, Panjura.

You can rebalance dinosaurs without mods, too. With CurveOverrides lines, you change a specific stat for a species separately across five growth stages, from hatchling to adult. Take a panel backup before big changes so you can roll back if the balance goes sideways.

Admin rights, whitelists and moderation

The permanent way to add admins is the ServerAdmins line in Game.ini: put the person's Alderon Games ID, in the 123-456-789 format, after it and restart the server. In game, /promote gives a player a specific admin role and /demote takes it away again. Alderon's role system means you don't have to give every moderator full power.

For a whitelist, create whitelist.txt in the Saved folder and put one Alderon Games ID on each line. If the file is empty or missing, the whitelist is off; it switches on the moment you add the first ID. For application-based roleplay servers, it's the simplest way to keep unapproved players at the door.

Beyond that, the official community server docs cover sending player reports to a Discord channel with webhooks, replay recordings and a spectator tool for moderation, a message of the day, rules and reserved slots. If you ever need to reset characters, the DatabaseCache folder holds every player character, while SaveGames holds map state such as water quality and waystone cooldowns; always take a backup before deleting either.

How do players join your Path of Titans server?

Players search for the name you put in ServerName in Path of Titans' server list and join; if ServerPassword is set, they're asked for it. The invite code you put in ServerDiscord shows players how to find your community. For the server to appear, Alderon requires authentication: every community server starts with a hosting auth token generated from an Alderon Games account that owns the game.

You create that token with your own account at alderongames.com/oauth/hosting-token and add it to your server's startup settings; if you're unsure where it goes, our support team will help. Alongside the game port, the server also uses extra ports for things like queries and RCON, and the ports assigned to you are shown in the panel.

An İstanbul server keeps latency low for herds logging in from Türkiye, and players across Europe, the Middle East and the Caucasus join comfortably too. When a big carnivore lunges, that proximity is what gets every bite and every escape registered on time.

How to Set Up a Path Of Titans Server

  1. 1

Pick a plan for your community

The official minimum is 8 GB, so start with Gold 8GB. If you plan on more than 50 players or a mod map, look at Diamond 12GB or Emerald 16GB.

  2. 2

    Generate your Alderon hosting token

With an Alderon Games account that owns the game, create an auth token at alderongames.com/oauth/hosting-token. A community server can't authenticate without it.

  3. 3

    Add the token after setup

Your server installs automatically once payment clears. Log in to gamepanel.hostingmerkezi.net and add the token to the startup settings; message support if you get stuck.

  4. 4

    Edit Game.ini

With the server stopped, set ServerName, ServerPassword, MaxPlayers and your growth settings, and put your own Alderon Games ID on the ServerAdmins line.

  5. 5

    Add mods and a map

Add EnabledMods lines under [PathOfTitans.Mods] in GameUserSettings.ini, and set ServerMap in Game.ini if you're running a mod map.

  6. 6

Restart and find it in the list

Start the server and watch the console as mods download. Search for your server name in the in-game list, join, and announce it on Discord.

Frequently Asked Questions

What people ask before renting a Path of Titans server: which plan, the auth token, mods, admins and how players find the server.

How much does Path of Titans server hosting cost?
Path of Titans plans start at $11.00 (₺440.00) a month. That price is for Gold 8GB, since the game's official recommended minimum is 8 GB of memory. We offer 5 plans for this game, and every one includes free DDoS protection, automatic backups and SFTP access.
How much memory does a Path of Titans server need?
You need at least 8 GB. We recommend Gold 8GB for up to 30 players with few mods, Platinum 10GB for 30 to 50 players, Diamond 12GB for a mod map or 50 to 75 players, and Emerald 16GB for servers nearing 100 players with a long mod list. These are recommendations; watch your usage and upgrade if needed.
What is the auth token, and why do I need it?
Alderon Games requires every community server to authenticate with an Alderon Games account that owns the game. You generate the token at alderongames.com/oauth/hosting-token and add it to your server's startup settings. Without it, the server can't authenticate with Alderon or open to players; if you're not sure where to enter it, our support team can help.
How do I install mods, and where do players get them?
Add each mod's ID, which starts with UGC_, as an EnabledMods= line under the [PathOfTitans.Mods] header in GameUserSettings.ini. The server updates mods on every boot, and players download missing mods automatically when they join. For a mod map, you also need to set the ServerMap line in Game.ini.
How do I add admins and turn on a whitelist?
For permanent admins, put the person's Alderon Games ID on the ServerAdmins line in Game.ini and restart; in game, /promote and /demote grant and remove roles. For a whitelist, list one ID per line in Saved/whitelist.txt; it becomes active as soon as the first ID is added.
How do players connect to my server?
Players search Path of Titans' server list for the name you chose and join, entering the password if you set one. If the server isn't showing up, first check that your auth token is valid and that the console shows no errors.
How long does setup take?
The server installs automatically after payment; because the game files are large, the first install can take a little longer than for lighter games. After that, add your auth token and edit Game.ini. If you use mods, allow a few extra minutes on first boot while they download.
Do backups include player characters?
Yes. Automatic backups cover the DatabaseCache folder, where every player character and their progress are stored, and the SaveGames folder with map state. Take a manual backup from the panel before a character reset, a big mod change or a CurveOverrides experiment to keep your players' hard work safe.
Is DDoS protection included?
Yes. Every Path of Titans plan includes DDoS filtering at no extra cost. A listed community server is visible to everyone, rivals included, and while attack traffic is filtered, your players stay connected. That matters when someone has spent weeks growing a dinosaur and can't afford a disconnect at the wrong moment.
Can I upgrade as my community grows?
Yes, you can move up a plan at any time, and your character database, mods and settings stay in place. When you want to raise MaxPlayers or add a mod map, going from Gold to Platinum or from Diamond to Emerald is the most common upgrade path.
