A SIT server holds a small group's shared progress; the thing that needs care is not hardware but version compatibility.
The server runs the SPT-Aki server software and SIT's server-side co-op mod; the SIT client module is installed on each player's PC with SIT Manager.
Stash, level, skills, trader standing and quests live in profile files on the server; backing up that folder protects your whole group's progress.
After the first start you write the server's external IP into coopConfig.json; whether players can join the same raid depends on this setting.
Upload SPT server-side mods to the user/mods folder through the file manager or SFTP; client-side parts must match on every player's machine.
Once payment is confirmed, the SPT server and the SIT server mod install automatically; you just set coopConfig.json and hand out the address.

Stay In Tarkov server hosting starts at $11.00 (₺440.00) per month and runs an always-on SPT-Aki server with the SIT co-op mod for your group. Stay In Tarkov (SIT) is an unofficial, community-built mod that lets friends play Escape From Tarkov together as PvE on top of SPT. Profiles, stash, trader standing and quest progress are stored on the server, so anyone who connects picks up where they stopped. Every player needs a legitimate copy of the game. The server runs in İstanbul on a Ryzen 9 9950X with NVMe storage, and because the SPT server itself is light, the entry plan, Gold 8GB, is more than enough for most groups.
SPT (Single Player Tarkov) is a community project that turns Escape From Tarkov into an offline PvE experience independent of the official servers. Stay In Tarkov (SIT) is a co-op mod built on top of it: your friends join the same raid, fight bots together and keep their progress on the server. The project is not affiliated with Battlestate Games, is non-commercial, and requires every player to own a legitimate copy of Escape From Tarkov.
A SIT setup has two halves. On the server side, the SPT-Aki server and SIT's server mod run together and manage profiles, traders, quests and raid sessions. On the client side, each player uses the SIT Manager tool to install the SIT client module into a separate copy of the game.
The advantage of renting the server instead of running it on one player's PC is continuity and reach. The server stays up around the clock, so the group can access the stash, trade and raid even when the usual host's PC is off, and nobody has to deal with port forwarding or a changing home IP. As the developers themselves note, SIT is not a perfect replacement for the live game; sync bugs and performance issues do occur.
Everything in SIT depends on versions lining up. Each release of the SIT server mod targets a specific SPT-Aki version, and SPT-Aki in turn works with a specific Escape From Tarkov client build. SIT's latest server mod releases target the SPT-Aki 3.8 series, and the project has not published a new server release since mid-2024. In practice, that pins the setup to one particular combination of versions.
This has three consequences. First, players install SIT into a separate copy of the game, never the live game folder; SIT Manager handles the copy and the client-side changes. Second, the SIT version on the server and each player's client module must come from the same release family. Third, mods written for newer SPT versions will not fit this setup.
You should also know that the SPT community now mostly uses a different mod, Fika, for co-op on newer versions. Fika is a separate project and does not come ready in this server environment. A Stay In Tarkov server is for groups who want to keep an existing SIT setup running or deliberately play on SIT's fixed version.
The critical setting is coopConfig.json. The file is created the first time the SIT server mod runs, and you need to put the server's external IP address in it; whether players can see each other in the same raid depends on that value. Restart the server after editing it.
The server uses three ports. 6969 is the main SPT server port and the address players enter in their client, 6970 carries the SIT mod's websocket connection, and 6971 is for the NAT helper. All three must be reachable. If players can reach the menu but cannot connect to a raid, these ports and the IP in coopConfig.json are the first things to check.
SPT server-side mods go into the user/mods folder, and player profiles sit as JSON files in user/profiles. That folder is your group's entire progress, so back it up before any major mod change. For mods with both server and client components, both sides have to run the same version, or you will see errors in the menu or mid-raid.
The server's load in SIT is lighter than most people expect, because most of the heavy lifting during a raid happens on players' PCs. The game of the player who starts a raid acts as that raid's host, and bot AI runs largely on that machine while the other players connect to it. The server manages profiles, traders, quests and session matchmaking.
That is why Gold 8GB is more than enough for a two-to-six player co-op group with a few SPT server mods. Platinum 10GB and Diamond 12GB leave extra room for a larger profile list and memory-hungry server mods. Emerald 16GB and Xtreme 32GB bring no real gain here, since raid performance is determined by the hosting player's PC rather than the server.
If raids stutter, first try having the player with the strongest PC start the raid. A bigger server plan usually will not fix that kind of stutter, and we would rather tell you that before you buy than after.
Each player first needs a legitimate copy of Escape From Tarkov, then uses SIT Manager to install the SIT client module that matches your server's SIT version into a separate copy of the game. In SIT Manager, they enter your server's IP with port 6969 as the server address and create their own profile with a username on first login. Because profiles live on the server, a player reaches their progress from whichever PC they log in on.
To raid together, one player starts the raid and the others join it. The most common problems are a wrong or missing IP in coopConfig.json, an unreachable 6970 or 6971 port, a version gap between a player's client module and the server mod, and mods installed on only one side.
If a player gets into the menu but cannot join a raid, the websocket connection or coopConfig.json is usually to blame. If they cannot connect at all, check that the address and port 6969 are entered correctly, then check version compatibility.
The SPT server is light and raid load sits with the players, so Gold 8GB suits most co-op groups; look at Platinum 10GB if you run many server mods.
After payment, the SPT-Aki server and the SIT server mod install automatically, and your server becomes manageable at gamepanel.hostingmerkezi.net.
Write the server's external IP into the coopConfig.json created on first start, save it and restart the server.
Using their legitimate copy of Escape From Tarkov, each player runs SIT Manager to install the SIT client matching your server version into a separate game copy.
Players enter your server IP with port 6969 in SIT Manager and create their profile with their own username on first login.
One player starts the raid and the rest join it; having the player with the strongest PC host the raid improves performance.
