A Banana Shooter server is managed through its files, so these features are about making those files easy to handle.
Login_Token, VAC_Secure and the scheduled restart options all sit in Config.json inside the server folder. Open it in the panel's file manager and edit it right in the browser.
Set enabled to true in SteamWorkshopConfig.json and list map IDs, comma-separated, in fileUlongIds. The server downloads those maps by itself the next time it starts.
Lua scripts you drop into the Lua/AutoRun folder load together with the server. Upload them over SFTP and restart from the panel after each change.
Use Enable_Scheduled_Shutdown and Scheduled_Restart_Time to restart the server at, say, 02:00 every night, while Scheduled_Restart_Warnings shows players a heads-up first.
The VAC_Secure setting runs the server with Valve Anti-Cheat. On the network side, free DDoS protection comes standard with every plan to keep your community server reachable.
In busy firefights the server simulation leans on single-core speed. The Ryzen 9 9950X and NVMe storage also cut the wait when Workshop maps load and when the map changes.
Banana Shooter server hosting at TheCrewHost starts at ₺240.00 ($6.00) per month and gets you a Banana Shooter Dedicated Server (BSDS) install running on a Ryzen 9 9950X in İstanbul. All of the server's settings live in the Config.json file in its own folder, the Workshop map list lives in SteamWorkshopConfig.json, and server-side Lua scripts go in the Lua/AutoRun folder. Add your login token and the server shows up in the in-game community server list; skip it and the server is only visible on LAN. You can reach every file through the panel's file manager or over SFTP.
Every Banana Shooter multiplayer server runs on the Banana Shooter Dedicated Server tool, BSDS for short. BSDS is published on Steam as a separate tool from the game and can be installed and updated with SteamCMD, with the server files sitting under a BSDS folder.
Each server gets its own directory under the Servers folder. The +ServerName value in the launch script sets the name of that folder, not the name players see in game; this small detail is the thing first-time hosts mix up most. Inside the server folder you will find Config.json, SteamWorkshopConfig.json, Lua/AutoRun and Workshop/Content.
Those files are generated the first time the server starts. After that you stop the server, edit the files and start it again. In the panel that loop takes a few clicks: open Config.json in the file manager, save, and hit restart.
No. A server without a login token (GSLT) is only visible on LAN and never appears in the in-game community server list. If you want anyone to be able to find it, this step is required.
To create a token, go to steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers and make a new game server account using Banana Shooter's App ID, 1949740. Writing which server the token belongs to in the memo field saves confusion later. Keep the code private; if you lose it, you can view it again on the same page.
Paste the code between the quotation marks of the Login_Token parameter in Config.json in your server folder. The VAC_Secure setting in the same file controls whether the server runs with Valve Anti-Cheat, and on a public community server it is worth keeping on. Save the file, restart, and the server starts appearing in the list.
Workshop maps are managed through SteamWorkshopConfig.json. First set enabled to true, then list the Workshop IDs of the maps you want in the fileUlongIds field, separated by commas. You can take each ID from the address of the map's Workshop page.
There is one behavior to plan around: turning on Workshop mode removes the game's standard maps from the pool, and the server plays only the Workshop maps you picked. So when you build the pool, include enough maps to keep players happy, including ones that can stand in for the official favorites.
On its next start the server downloads the maps into steamapps/workshop/content/1949740. Any time you add or remove a map, the change takes effect after a restart. Community maps built with Banana Shooter's own map editor are published through the Workshop too, so you can also make a map yourself and run it on your server.
A Banana Shooter server runs the Lua scripts you put in the Lua/AutoRun folder of its server directory. Upload community scripts or your own over SFTP and restart to load them. If a script misbehaves, removing the file from that folder and restarting is the fastest way back to a clean server.
The Enable_Scheduled_Shutdown and Scheduled_Restart_Time settings in Config.json make the server restart itself at a set time each day. The time is written in the form "T02:00:00", and Scheduled_Restart_Warnings defines the warnings players see before the restart. Refreshing a long-running community server at the quietest hour is a good habit.
The official documentation also notes that BSDS sometimes finishes installing without every file in place. If your server will not start because of missing files, copy the output from the panel console and open a ticket with our support team so we can look at it together.
For a group of friends or a small community, Bronze 4GB is enough. The Banana Shooter server simulates a cartoon-style game that is not heavy, and 4 GB of RAM with 50 GB of NVMe comfortably covers the standard map pool.
If you enable Workshop mode with a large map pool and run a few Lua scripts at the same time, Silver 6GB gives you more memory headroom. For a public community server that fills up every evening, Gold 8GB provides a safe buffer at peak hours.
Plans above that are more than Banana Shooter needs. Everything from Bronze to Diamond comes with the same 4 vCores, and a single BSDS server gains little from the extra cores on Emerald and Xtreme. Since you can move to a higher plan from the panel at any time, starting small and growing with your community is the sensible path.
Once the login token is in place, the server appears in the in-game community server list under the name set in Config.json, and players join by picking it from the list. Choose a name your community will recognize, because the folder name you gave with +ServerName never shows up there.
If the server is not listed, check three things: that Login_Token is pasted correctly, that the token was created with Banana Shooter's App ID 1949740, and that the server was restarted after the change. The problem is almost always one of those three.
With the server in İstanbul, players in Türkiye get low latency, and it is generally a good location for players joining from Europe, the Middle East and the Caucasus too. If your community gathers on Discord, announcing the server name and Workshop map list there helps new players find you.
Bronze 4GB covers a friend group or small community. If you plan a large Workshop pool and Lua scripts, start on Silver 6GB.
Once your payment clears, BSDS installs automatically and your server appears in gamepanel.hostingmerkezi.net. The first start creates the server folder and its config files.
Generate a token for Banana Shooter at steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers and paste it into the Login_Token parameter in Config.json.
Decide on VAC_Secure, optionally turn on nightly restarts with Enable_Scheduled_Shutdown and set Scheduled_Restart_Time to match your players' schedule.
Set enabled to true in SteamWorkshopConfig.json, list map IDs in fileUlongIds, upload Lua scripts to Lua/AutoRun and restart the server.
Search the community server list for your server name, confirm it appears and share it on your Discord. If it is missing, recheck the token and App ID.
