| Plan | Recommended for | Hardware | Monthly price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze 4GB | Recommended: up to 24 players with mod.io mapsEnough memory for Pavlov; an unmodded ten-player match uses under half of it. | 4 vCore Ryzen 9950X · 4 GB DDR5 6000MHz · 50 GB NVMe SSD Samsung 990 PRO | ₺240.00/mo |
| Silver 6GB | 24–32 players, TTT/ZWV and heavy mapsExtra headroom for community nights with large map files and extra mods. | 4 vCore Ryzen 9950X · 6 GB DDR5 6000MHz · 60 GB NVMe SSD Samsung 990 PRO | ₺345.00/mo |
| Gold 8GB | 32–50 players, large PC lobbiesComfortable margin for lobbies near the PC player cap and plenty of extra mods. | 4 vCore Ryzen 9950X · 8 GB DDR5 6000MHz · 70 GB NVMe SSD Samsung 990 PRO | ₺440.00/mo |
| Platinum 10GB | Oversized for a single Pavlov serverNot recommended: the main loop runs on one core, so extra RAM changes nothing in-game. | 4 vCore Ryzen 9950X · 10 GB DDR5 6000MHz · 100 GB NVMe SSD Samsung 990 PRO | ₺530.00/mo |
| Diamond 12GB | Not recommended for PavlovMost of this memory would sit idle on a Pavlov server. | 4 vCore Ryzen 9950X · 12 GB DDR5 6000MHz · 110 GB NVMe SSD Samsung 990 PRO | ₺617.50/mo |
| Emerald 16GB | Not recommended for PavlovSix vCores go largely unused by Pavlov's single-threaded server. | 6 vCore Ryzen 9950X · 16 GB DDR5 6000MHz · 120 GB NVMe SSD Samsung 990 PRO | ₺840.00/mo |
| Xtreme 32GB | Not recommended for PavlovBuilt for much heavier games; it does not pay off for a VR shooter server. | 12 vCore Ryzen 9950X · 32 GB DDR5 6000MHz · 200 GB NVMe SSD Samsung 990 PRO | ₺1520.00/mo |
The Pavlov server runs on Linux with one main game thread, and how smooth VR feels for your players comes down to that core's speed.
Pavlov defaults to a TickRate of 90. The Ryzen 9 9950X's single-core performance holds that pace in a full lobby and cuts down on the sudden hitches that make VR players queasy.
Set ServerName, MaxPlayers, bSecured, bCustomServer, bEnableBots, LimitedAmmoType, TimeLimit and AFKTimeLimit under [/Script/Pavlov.DedicatedServer] right in the file manager.
Add community maps to your rotation by writing their UGC-prefixed mod.io IDs into MapRotation lines, and enable non-map mods on the server with AdditionalMods.
Define the RCON password and port in RconSettings.txt, add moderators by SteamID64 to mods.txt and keep banned players in blacklist.txt.
Turn on bWhitelist and fill whitelist.txt to admit invited players only, while free DDoS protection filters attack traffic so the lobby stays up whether it is public or private.
Map not downloading, server missing from the list or RCON refusing to connect? Help is a ticket, live chat, Discord message, WhatsApp or phone call away, 24/7, from a Turkish-speaking team.
Pavlov VR server hosting at TheCrewHost costs from $6.00 a month (₺240.00), and for that you get your own Pavlov dedicated server on a Ryzen 9 9950X with DDR5 memory and NVMe storage, hosted in İstanbul. In VR, lag and hitching feel far worse than on a flat screen, so single-core speed and proximity to your players matter more here than in almost any other shooter. Queue mod.io maps with MapRotation lines in Game.ini, pick SND, TTT, zombie waves or WW2 modes, manage moderators in mods.txt and lock down a private community with whitelist.txt. RconSettings.txt is yours to configure as well.
A Pavlov VR server can run almost every mode Vankrupt Games ships, all selected through Game.ini. Competitive players gravitate to SND, Search and Destroy, where teams plant or defuse a bomb; the bCompetitive flag only applies to that mode. For straightforward fights there is DM and TDM, KOTH for hill control, GUN for weapon progression and OITC, one in the chamber.
Community nights usually revolve around TTT, where innocents try to root out the traitors hiding among them. It is the mode that makes the most of voice chat and VR body language. Beyond that you can run ZWV zombie wave survival, PH for prop hunt, HIDE and INFECTION, PUSH for lane-pushing matches, and the WW2-themed TANKTDM and WW2GUN.
Maps come from two places: stock maps that ship with the game, such as datacenter, sand, bridge, hospital and station, and mod.io community maps loaded by their UGC ID. Not every mode works on every map, so choose maps built for TTT or zombie modes when you plan those nights.
Everything on a Pavlov server starts in Pavlov/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/Game.ini, under the [/Script/Pavlov.DedicatedServer] section. bEnabled switches the server on, and ServerName sets the name in the list, which should stay short. MaxPlayers sets the player cap. bSecured enables Valve Anti-Cheat, while bCustomServer unlocks the modding tools and lets the server write to blacklist.txt.
TimeLimit sets match length and AFKTimeLimit decides how long idle players can linger before they are removed. LimitedAmmoType lets you choose anything from unlimited ammo to per-weapon limited ammo. bEnableBots turns bots on. Password is a numeric PIN that players type in to join the lobby.
The map rotation is built from MapRotation lines, each pairing a MapId with a GameMode. To run a mod.io map in SND, for example, you write its UGC ID and the SND code. You can add as many lines as you like, and the server plays them in order. Restart the server after editing so the changes take effect.
Pavlov is modest on memory. Community guides put an unmodded ten-player match at roughly 2 GB, while 24 or more players with heavy mod.io maps and extra mods get close to 4 GB. That is why Bronze 4GB is the right starting point for most Pavlov communities.
The CPU is what really decides things. The server's main loop runs on a single thread, and the more players you add, the more you ask of that one core. Pushing TickRate above the default of 90 adds load to the same core; values between 50 and 120 are considered stable, but unless you have a clear reason, leaving it at 90 is the healthy choice.
On the PC version MaxPlayers can go as high as 50, though the community generally recommends staying at 24 or below. Silver 6GB suits packed TTT nights and large map files, and Gold 8GB suits big lobbies between 32 and 50 players. Plans above that are more than a single Pavlov server can use.
Pavlov handles permissions with plain text files, all kept in Pavlov/Saved/Config. Write one SteamID64 per line in mods.txt to name your moderators; those players get moderator rights on your server. blacklist.txt lists banned players, and whitelist.txt holds the players allowed in when bWhitelist is enabled. For a private clan server, the whitelist is the cleanest solution.
For remote administration, create RconSettings.txt in the same folder with a Password line and a Port line; the default RCON port is 9100. Connect with an RCON client and you can change maps, kick or ban players and see who is currently on the server. Community-made RCON tools and Discord bots use the same interface, so you can wire moderation into your Discord if you want.
Back up from the panel before editing these files. If whitelist.txt gets wiped by accident, your private community will be locked out on the next restart, and a recent backup turns that into a quick fix.
Pavlov's server files are published on SteamCMD as separate branches: the default branch for the PC (SteamVR) version and a separate shack branch for Pavlov Shack, the standalone Meta Quest version. Your server has to be on the same branch as the version your players run. Shack servers are capped at 24 players. If you are not sure which branch your server uses, just ask our support team.
Players join through the in-game server list: they search for the name you set in ServerName, enter the PIN if there is one and drop into the lobby. By default the server uses UDP ports 7777 and 8177, with TCP port 9100 for RCON; the exact ports assigned to your server are shown in the panel.
VR players are far more sensitive to latency than flat-screen players, because even a tiny mismatch between hand movement and object position is noticeable. Hosting in İstanbul means low latency for players in Türkiye and a balanced connection for friends across Europe and the Middle East.
Bronze 4GB handles up to 24 players with mod.io maps. Choose Silver 6GB for busy TTT nights, or Gold 8GB for 32 to 50-player lobbies.
Your Pavlov server installs automatically once payment clears. Open Pavlov/Saved/Config right away through the panel's file manager or over SFTP.
Under [/Script/Pavlov.DedicatedServer], set ServerName, MaxPlayers, bSecured and an optional numeric Password. Leave TickRate at 90 for now.
Write mod.io UGC IDs and game modes into MapRotation lines, put moderator SteamID64s in mods.txt and create RconSettings.txt.
Restart the server, find it by name in the in-game list and play the first round, then share the server name with your Discord community.
